.SHORT TERM (Rest of tonight)...
An upper ridge aloft FL builds slightly northward over the
southeast U.S. At the surface a trough continues across central
FL but will begin to slowly exit the area. Atlantic high pressure
ridges in between south FL and Cuba with a weak gradient. The
column is quite moisture with 2.21 inches of PWAT on the 00Z TBW
sounding.

The afternoon convection was rather robust at times but mainly in
the form of heavy rain...prompting some flood advisories. The
showers and storms are now winding down but is not expected to
completely end...especially in the interior central and south.
With that in mind will continue the flood watch until 11 pm and
defer to the overnight shift on it/s fate. Have made adjustments
in the forecasts to better reflect the current showers and storms
and will send out the updates shortly.

.AVIATION...
10/01Z-10/24Z. SHRA/TSRA have been trending down but still on-
going with VCNTY remarks and LCL MVFR CIGS TIL 04-06Z. Prevailing
VFR overnight then SHRA begin AFT sunrise with VCTS in the late
morning and afternoon. Variable/light easterly winds overnight
then shifting to onshore by afternoon.

.MARINE...
A trough of low pressure will slowly exit the waters as high
pressure with a relaxed gradient builds in and continues into
early next week. Winds and seas benign but will be higher near
thunderstorms.

.HYDROLOGY...
A surface trough across the state for the past few days has keep
deep tropical moisture in place with numerous showers and storms.
A flood watch is in effect for interior portions of the area from
Polk County south through 11 pm this evening and may be extended
in time later tonight. On friday some of the deeper moisture is
expected to start exiting the area.

The Alafia River at Lithia and the Little Manatee River at Wimauma
are currently in flood stage with several other rivers in or near
action stage. With the rain today and expected Friday the area
river are expected to continue at elevated levels.
