Do not drive vehicles through flooded areas. Most flood deaths occur 
in automobiles when people try to drive through flooded areas.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks. Flood waters will 
weaken the banks making them dangerous.

SOUTH THIS AFTERNOON INTO TUESDAY. AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE WILL
FORM ON THE FRONT AND MOVE NORTHEAST LATE TUESDAY AND TUESDAY
NIGHT. DEEP LOW PRESSURE PASSING WELL TO THE NORTHWEST WILL PUSH A
WARM FRONT THROUGH THE AREA WEDNESDAY...FOLLOWED BY A COLD FRONT
WEDNESDAY NIGHT. HIGH PRESSURE WILL BUILD ACROSS THE AREA THROUGH
THE REMAINDER OF THE WEEK.

AS OF 3 AM MONDAY...NEAR ZONAL FLOW ALOFT CONTINUES ACROSS THE
SOUTHERN STATES BRINGING ABUNDANT CLOUDS ACROSS THE REGION WHILE A
BACKDOOR COLD FRONT HAS MOVED TO THE NC/VA BORDER EARLY THIS
MORNING. NOT SEEING MUCH IN THE WAY OF RAIN AT THIS TIME...ASIDE

MODELS KEEPING IT DRY ACROSS EASTERN NC AND LIGHT RAIN THAT WAS
ACCOMPANYING THE FRONT ACROSS SE VA IS DISSIPATING...SO WILL
LIMIT POPS TO SLIGHT CHANCE TROUGH THE MORNING HOURS. THE COLD
FRONT WILL STALL SOUTH OF THE REGION THIS AFTERNOON WITH MID LEVEL
MOISTURE AND ISENTROPIC LIFT INCREASING LATE FROM THE SOUTH THIS
AFTERNOON BRINGING INCREASING PRECIP CHANCES ACROSS THE SOUTHERN
TIER. TEMPS CURRENTLY IN THE MID 50S TO AROUND 60 EARLY THIS
MORNING AND MANY AREAS WILL SEE DAYTIME HIGHS A COUPLE DEGREES
COOLER THAN CURRENT TEMPS. EXPECT TEMPS TO BOTTOM OUT IN THE UPPER

THE REGION EARLY TODAY WILL SETTLE TO THE SOUTH...EVENTUALLY LIFTING
NORTH TUESDAY AS A WAVE OF LOW PRESSURE DEVELOPS ALONG THIS
BOUNDARY. THIS WEAK SFC LOW WILL LIFT TO OUR NE WITH A WEDGE OF HIGH
PRESSURE EXTENDING SOUTH ACROSS THE PIEDMONT OF NC. THIS WILL
PROVIDE SOME ISENTROPIC LIFT ACROSS THE REGION...EVENTUALLY SHIFTING

WEDNESDAY: A VERY STRONG LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM AND ASSOCIATED DEEP
TROUGH WILL DIG AND PIVOT THROUGH THE OHIO RIVER VALLEY...BECOMING
NEGATIVELY TILTED AS THE VORT AXIS CROSSES. AS THE SFC LOW LIFTS
NORTH A STRONG COLD FRONT MOVE ACROSS THE APPALACHIANS AND
EVENTUALLY TO EASTERN NC...ARRIVING TO THE COASTAL PLAIN BY LATE
WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON/EVENING. THIS WILL GIVE WAY TO INSTABILITY AND
AMPLE SHEAR AHEAD OF THE FRONT. CONFIDENCE IS BUILDING IN REGARDS
TO THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY...SOME OF WHICH COULD BECOME SEVERE. WITH
THE SFC LOW TO THE NORTH DROPPING TO UNDER 990MB...THIS

ACTUAL FRONT. IF THERE ARE ENOUGH BREAKS IN THE CLOUDS AND THE
FRONT NEARS BY THE LATE AFTERNOON...THIS WILL ALLOW THE SFC TO
WARM AHEAD OF THE BEST LIFT. TIMING IS EVERYTHING AS THEY SAY AND
NO TRUER WORDS WERE SPOKEN IN THIS CASE.

THE PRECIPITATION/THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY WILL MOVE THROUGH LATE
WEDNESDAY. EXPECT RAINFALL TOTALS RANGING FROM 1-1.5" FOR THE ENTIRE

THURSDAY THROUGH SUNDAY: GUSTY WINDS CAN BE EXPECTED THURSDAY AS THE
GRADIENT REMAINS FAIRLY TIGHT. CONDITIONS IMPROVE THROUGH THE
WEEKEND AS THE LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM/FRONT MOVES OUT TO SEA. TROUGHING
WILL CONTINUE OVER THE AREA WITH HIGH PRESSURE TRYING TO BUILD INTO
