THE MOST FAVORED AREA WILL BE ACROSS THE LOWER TRANS PECOS. STORMS MAY BE STRONG TO SEVERE...CAPABLE OF PRODUCING LARGE HAIL...GUSTY WINDS...FREQUENT LIGHTNING...AND LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL. CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS THIS AFTERNOON ACROSS THE GUADALUPE MOUNTAINS...SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO PLAINS...VAN HORN AND HIGHWAY 54 CORRIDOR...MARFA PLATEAU...AND DAVIS AND APACHE MOUNTAINS WILL ABATE THIS EVENING.
