warning for the following rivers in Missouri... 

  Meramec River near Steelville

  Meramec River near Sullivan

  Meramec River at Pacific

  Meramec River near Eureka

  Meramec River at Valley Park

  Meramec River near Arnold

.This Flood Warning is a result of .25 to .75 inches of rainfall the 
past 24 hours and 4 to 6 inches forecast in the next 48 hours...

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Heavy rains could cause river levels to rise even higher than 
predicted.  The National Weather Service will monitor this developing
situation and issue follow up statements as conditions or forecasts 
change.

Safety message:  Never drive cars, trucks, or sport utility vehicles 
through flooded areas.  The water may be too deep to allow for safe 
passage.

* At  9:00 PM Sunday the stage was 2.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* The river is forecast to rise above flood stage by early Tuesday 
  morning and crest near 13.2 feet by Tuesday morning. The river will
  fall below flood stage by Tuesday before midnight.
* Impact:  At 12.5 feet...The entrance gate to the campground at 
  Onondaga Cave State Park off Highway H begins to flood near this 
  height.
* Impact:  At 12.0 feet...Agricultural and recreational areas along 
  the right bank flood.  At Adventure Outdoors west of Steelville, 
  the store begins to flood near this height.

* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* The river is forecast to rise above flood stage by Tuesday early 
  afternoon and crest near 23.0 feet by Thursday morning. The river 
  will fall below flood stage by early Saturday morning.
* Impact:  At 23.5 feet...Riverfront parking area of Minnie Ha Ha Park
  across the river from Fenton begins flooding near this height.
* Impact:  At 21.9 feet...Yarnell Road is closed at Riverside Drive.  
  Larkin Williams is closed at Riverside Golf Club entrance.  In 
  Valley Park...Tree Court Industrial Road begins flooding between 
  Marshall Road and Scarlet Oak Boulevard.  Also...the golf course at
  Family Golf and Learning Center and the Kirkwood Athletic 
  Association ball fields begin flooding near this height.

* Impact:  At 27.0 feet...Meramec Bottom Road between Wells Road and 
  Kerth Road begins flooding near this height.
* Impact:  At 26.0 feet...House at the end of Kasebaum Lane is 
  surrounded by water just west of Lemay Ferry Road bridge.  Also, 
  Hawkins Road south of Meramec Bottom Road is closed near this 
  height.
