...A Flood Warning continues for portions of the following rivers in 
Indiana...

  Big Walnut Creek...Driftwood River...East Fork White River...Eel 
  River...Mill Creek...Mississinewa River...Muscatatuck River...
  Wabash River...White River...Youngs Creek...


.Flooding similar to crests experienced in March will return to
central and southern Indiana during the week of April 11.  Flood
crests in southwest Indiana may be 1 to 2 feet higher than levels
seen in March.  Flooding will return last from a couple of days to
more than a week in southwest Indiana.

Rainfall totals from Sunday afternoon through Monday night will be 
1 to slightly more than 2 inches in much of central and southern
Indiana.  When this rain ends...little to no rainfall is expected
through April 18.  This will allow central and southern Indiana to
dry out and much of the flooding to end.

Flooding will affect local river roads and extensive agricultural
bottomlands.


Precautionary/Preparedness Actions...

Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go 
another way. Keep children away from flooded areas. Recreational and 
agricultural interests should remain alert to changing river 
conditions.

  Lawrenceport Road.  All local roads across the East Fork of the 
  White River are threatened by high water, and some are closed.  
  Flooding of agricultural lands in Lawrence County is in progress.

  continue to rise to near 20.7 feet by Monday early afternoon.
* At 20.9 feet...During June 2010 State Road 257 south of Washington 
  began to flood at this crest level at Petersburg after Shoals 
  crested at 18.19 feet.  About a week later Petersburg crested at 
  21.34 feet...about one half foot higher...but the water did not 
  reach State Road 257 after Shoals crested at 15.59 feet...about 2.5
  feet lower.  Lost River did not contribute much water during this 
  June flood and locally it was not extremely wet.

.Flooding similar to crests experienced in March will return to
central and southern Indiana during the week of April 11.  Flood
crests in southwest Indiana may be 1 to 2 feet higher than levels
seen in March.  Flooding will return last from a couple of days to
more than a week in southwest Indiana.

Rainfall totals from Sunday afternoon through Monday night will be 
1 to slightly more than 2 inches in much of central and southern
Indiana.  When this rain ends...little to no rainfall is expected
through April 18.  This will allow central and southern Indiana to
dry out and much of the flooding to end.

Flooding will affect local river roads and extensive agricultural
bottomlands.


Precautionary/Preparedness Actions...

Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go 
another way. Keep children away from flooded areas. Recreational and 
agricultural interests should remain alert to changing river 
conditions.

  reach State Road 257 after Shoals crested at 15.59 feet...about 2.5
  feet lower.  Lost River did not contribute much water during this 
  June flood and locally it was not extremely wet.

this morning below flood stage and Mill Creek near Cataract will
crest by Wednesday slightly below flood stage.


Precautionary/Preparedness Actions...

Be alert to flood debris on previously flooded roads. Keep children 
away from flooded areas. Recreational and agricultural interests 
should remain alert to changing river conditions.

RAIN WILL END THIS EVENING AS LOW PRESSURE AND A COLD FRONT MOVE
AWAY TO THE SOUTH AND EAST. LARGE HIGH PRESSURE WILL BUILD INTO THE
OHIO VALLEY AND GREAT LAKES FOR MUCH OF THE NEXT WEEK WITH DRY AND
PROGRESSIVELY WARMER SPRING WEATHER FOR CENTRAL INDIANA.

ISSUED AT 315 PM EDT MON APR 11 2016

LOW PRESSURE OVER WESTERN KENTUCKY AT 18Z WITH THE SLOW MOVING COLD
FRONT EXTENDING TO THE NORTHEAST ACROSS SOUTHERN INDIANA AND INTO
SOUTHWEST OHIO. BOUNDARY IS ACROSS FAR SOUTHEAST COUNTIES AND SHOULD
BE CLEAR OF THE FORECAST AREA WITH IN THE NEXT 1 TO 2 HOURS. TEMPS
REMAINED IN THE 50S NEAR AND SOUTH OF THE BOUNDARY WITH UPPER 40S
FURTHER NORTH.

TWO MAIN ISSUES TO KEY IN ON FOR TONIGHT. FIRST ISSUE IS THE
DEPARTURE OF THE RAIN WHICH LOOKS LIKE IT WILL END FASTER THAN
PREVIOUSLY THOUGHT. SECOND ISSUE WILL FOCUS ON THE POTENTIAL FOR
NEAR TO JUST BELOW FREEZING TEMPS LATE TONIGHT AND THE POTENTIAL FOR
YET ANOTHER FREEZE WARNING OVER PART OF THE AREA.

HI-RES GUIDANCE HAS BEEN STEADILY FASTER WITH THE DEPARTURE OF THE
RAIN THIS EVENING AS THE SURFACE WAVE QUICKLY PASSES BY TO THE SOUTH
AND THE FRONT SLIPS SOUTH OF THE OHIO RIVER. ALREADY SEEING SIGNS ON
THE RADAR OF THE BACK EDGE OF THE RAIN MOVING SOUTHEAST AND NOW
APPEARS MOST OF THE FORECAST AREA WILL SEE RAIN END OVER THE NEXT 4-
5 HOURS AND PRIOR TO 00Z. WILL HANG ONTO LOW CHANCE POPS IN THE
SOUTHEAST FOR AN HOUR OR TWO PAST 00Z OTHERWISE EXPECTING A DRY
NIGHT.

STRONG SUBSIDENCE AND DEEP DRY AIR NOTED WITH THE EXPANDING HIGH
PRESSURE WITH CLEARING SKIES QUICKLY EXPANDING EAST ACROSS THE MID
MISSISSIPPI VALLEY. NOT OUT OF THE QUESTION THAT THE SUN PEAKS OUT
PRIOR TO SUNSET OVER WESTERN COUNTIES WITH MORE SUBSTANTIAL CLEARING
DURING THE EVENING AND INTO THE OVERNIGHT AS THE HIGH BUILDS IN.
WITH CLEARING SKIES AND A RELAXING PRESSURE GRADIENT...WINDS ARE
EXPECTED TO DIMINISH BELOW 10MPH RELATIVELY FAST DURING THE EVENING
AND SHOULD GENERALLY BE AROUND 5MPH OVERNIGHT.

TEMPS AND FREEZE HEADLINE CONSIDERATION...MAVMOS LOOKS MUCH TOO
AGGRESSIVE WITH LOWS OVERNIGHT DESPITE THE CLEARING SKIES AND LIGHT
WINDS...AND MAY NOT BE CAPTURING THE IMPACT WET SOIL/GROUND
CONDITIONS WOULD HAVE WITH KEEPING NEAR SURFACE TEMPS UP A BIT
TONIGHT. PREFER THE RAW RAP/NAM TEMPS AND WARMER METMOS GUIDANCE
WHICH STILL BRINGS LOWS INTO THE 30-32 RANGE ALONG AND NORTH OF
INTERSTATE 70 WITH SLIGHTLY WARMER TEMPS FURTHER SOUTH. WILL BE
INTRODUCING A FREEZE WARNING NORTH OF A TERRE HAUTE-RUSHVILLE LINE
FROM 05-13Z. FURTHER SOUTH...HAVE PLACED PATCHY FROST IN THE GRIDS
BUT WITH GREATER UNCERTAINTY WITH RESPECT TO LATENT HEAT PROCESSES
ON LOW TEMPS AS A RESULT OF THE WET GROUND AND A LATER DEPARTURE TO
CLOUDS/WINDS RELAXING...WILL HOLD OFF ON A FROST ADVISORY FOR THE
TIME BEING.

FORECAST CHALLENGES ARE FEW DURING THE PERIOD AND PRIMARILY FOCUS ON
THE NEED FOR ADDITIONAL FROST/FREEZE HEADLINES WEDNESDAY MORNING AND
POSSIBLY EVEN THURSDAY MORNING.

THE AFOREMENTIONED BROAD SURFACE RIDGE WILL EXPAND ACROSS THE REGION
THROUGH THE PERIOD AND SERVE AS THE DOMINANT WEATHER INFLUENCE
THROUGH THE SHORT TERM AND BEYOND. COLD POOL ALOFT WILL ALREADY BE
IN THE PROCESS OF PULLING AWAY FROM THE OHIO VALLEY ON TUESDAY WITH
WARM ADVECTION COMMENCING BY LATE IN THE DAY. HOWEVER...IT WILL
REMAIN CLOSE ENOUGH TO GENERATE DIURNAL CU OVER THE EASTERN HALF OF
THE FORECAST AREA DESPITE THE DEEP SUBSIDENCE PRESENT.

AFTER COOL NORTHERLY FLOW ON TUESDAY...WINDS WILL VEER TO A
PREDOMINANT EASTERLY DIRECTION FOR THE REST OF THE SHORT TERM AS THE
CENTER OF THE HIGH MOVES INTO QUEBEC. MODEL SOUNDINGS AND RH PROGS
CONTINUE TO SHOW A BROAD LAYER OF DRY AIR AND SUBSIDENCE WEDNESDAY
AND THURSDAY WITH ABUNDANT SUNSHINE EXPECTED BOTH DAYS. ONE POSSIBLE
EXCEPTION TO THIS IS ACROSS THE LOWER WABASH VALLEY WHERE THE
DEVELOPMENT OF AN UPPER WAVE WILL PULL ATLANTIC MOISTURE UP AND
AROUND THE BASE OF THE SURFACE RIDGE AND INTO THE MISSISSIPPI AND
LOWER OHIO VALLEYS. BUMPED UP CLOUD PRESENCE A BIT IN THE SOUTHWEST
AS A RESULT.

TEMPS...GENERALLY FELT MOS WAS A TOUCH AGGRESSIVE WITH WARMING
TUESDAY AND UNDERCUT BY A DEGREE OR TWO IN MOST AREAS. TOOK A MODEL
BLEND FOR HIGHS WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY WITH HIGHS WARMING INTO THE
MID AND UPPER 60S BY THURSDAY. GENERALLY TRENDED WITH MET
GUIDANCE AND RAW WRF/NAM TEMPS FOR LOWS. LIKELY GOING TO NEED A FROST
