* At 0339 PM Monday the stage was 31.2 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 28.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue to fall to below flood stage later tonight.
* At 32.0 feet...At levels above 32 feet major flooding begins as portions of 
  Allen Parkway and Memorial Drive are under 1 to 2 feet of water and homes 
  upstream of the gage begin flooding.

  The White Oak Bayou At Heights Boulevard
* until Tuesday morning...or until the warning is canceled.
* At 0358 PM Monday the stage was 35.6 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 32.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue to fall to below flood stage later 
  tonight.
* At 36.0 feet...At levels above 36 feet major lowland flooding begins as 
  apartments along White Oak Drive begin flooding. The I-45 south bound ramp to 
  I-10 West is under 2.5 feet of water and the I-10 east bound feeder road west 
  of Studemont is inundated. The I-45 main lanes north of I-10 are close to 
  being flooded.

The river flood warning has been cancelled for the Buffalo Bayou.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Persons are urged to stay away from the river until water levels recede. 

Motorists should avoid any water covered roads and find an alternate route. 

Livestock and equipment should remain out of the flood plain for the next few 
days.

SEVERE...HISTORIC FLOOD EVENT ONGOING. SEVERAL FLASH FLOOD
WARNINGS AND FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCIES IN EFFECT FROM SLOW MOVING
BAND OF THUNDERSTORMS. MULTIPLE HIGH WATER RESCUES REPORTED AND
STRUCTURES BEING FLOODED. UNFORTUNATELY BAND OF THUNDERSTORMS TO
IMPACT AREAS ALREADY HAVING RECEIVED HEAVY RAIN FOR POTENTIALLY SEVERAL
MORE HOURS.

WORST CASE SCENARIO AS DEEP MOISTURE ADVECTING IN OFF THE GULF
AND BEING FOCUSSED ALONG E TO W BAND OF THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY
LITTLE MOVEMENT. MODELS HAVE STRUGGLED TO CAPTURE PLACEMENT AND
TIMING OF CONVECTION AND DIFFICULT GOING FORWARD AS WELL. NOT MUCH
CHANGE IN THE PATTERN IS EXPECTED THROUGH TUESDAY. THROUGH TUESDAY
EXPECT ADDITIONAL ROUNDS OF HEAVY RAIN WHICH WILL ONLY EXACERBATE
FLOODING ALREADY ONGOING. DIFFICULT TO TIME THINGS BUT
THUNDERSTORM COMPLEXES WILL GENERALLY BE SLOW MOVING. CONCERN IS
THEY WILL OCCUR IN SIMILAR AREAS. HAVE HAD TO RAISE POPS WEDNESDAY
AS WELL AS MODELS SHOWING ANOTHER VORT LOBE PIVOTING AROUND UPPER
LOW LIKELY BRINGING MORE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. REALLY DONT
DRY OUT UNTIL POSSIBLY FRIDAY AS MODELS SUGGEST RIDGING AT SURFACE

A COASTAL FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE UPPER COASTAL
AREAS...GALVESTON...HARRIS...CHAMBERS. FURTHER SOUTH ACROSS BRAZORIA
AND MATAGORDA WILL HAVE A COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY. WATER LEVELS ARE
PEAKING AROUND 4 FEET AT HIGH TIDES IN THE WARNING AREA AND AROUND
