The Oconee River near Milledgeville.
* From this evening until Saturday afternoon.
* At 115 PM Friday the stage was 21.4 feet...and rising.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 27 feet.
* Forecast to rise above flood stage by this evening and continue to
rise to near 29.1 feet after midnight. The river will fall below
flood stage by tomorrow late morning.
* At 29 feet...Minor flooding continues to expand further into the
woodlands and pasture upstream and downstream from the gage near
the Georgia Highway 22 and 24 bridge. Fishing Creek backs up and a
few buildings along the creek will be flooded. Also Tanyard Branch
Stream between East Thomas and East Charleston Streets in
Milledgeville will flood. Sinclair Dam will have four gates
open to reach this height.

the Old Balls Ferry Road boat ramp under one to three feet of water.
The end of Old Balls Ferry Road begins to flood and flooding spreads
further into the woodlands near the river.
At 23 feet...Moderate flooding continues with portions of the Old
Balls Ferry Road leading to the boat ramp flooded with a foot of
water or more. The entire dirt parking lot near the boat ramp will
be under three to five feet of water. Extensive flooding occurs in
the woodlands near the river.

downstream from the gage on the 14th Street bridge. Portions of
the River Walk in Columbus will be flooded and will be closed to
the public. The water level will be near the foundation of the
Phenix City Amphitheater in Alabama.
At 28 feet...Minor flooding continues along the river upstream and
downstream from the gage on the 14th Street bridge. Portions of the
River Walk in Columbus will be flooded around one foot deep and
will be closed to the public. The Phenix City Amphitheater on the
Alabama side of the river will begin to flood.
At 30 feet...Minor flooding continues along the river upstream and
downstream from the gage on the 14th Street bridge. Large portions
of the River Walk in Columbus will be flooded up to 3 feet deep.
The water level reaches the top of the boat ramp behind the Columbus Convention and Trade Center and the Phenix City Amphitheater in
Alabama will be flooded up to two feet deep. Portions of the River
Walk in Phenix City will begin to flood.

the gage on U.S. Highway 80. Portions of some dirt river access
roads will begin to flood.

* Forecast to rise above flood stage by Thursday morning and continue
to rise to near 16.4 feet by Thursday evening. The river will fall
below flood stage by Friday evening.
* At 16 feet...Flood Stage is reached. Minor flooding begins in the
woodlands...pastures and natural flood plain along the river
upstream and downstream from the gage on U.S. Highway 280. Flood
waters reach the top of a boat ramp by the bridge on the Wheeler
County side of the River.

* Minor flooding is forecast to continue.
* Flood stage is 20 feet.
* The river will continue to fall to below flood stage by Thursday
early afternoon.
* At 23 feet...Minor flooding continues of roads on the southside
of Hawkinsville along Gooseneck Lane. With the flooding of
Gooseneck Lane...residents are cutoff from reaching their homes.
The water will be from 1 to 3 feet deep over the road.

The Oconee River near Mount Vernon.
* Until late Sunday night.
* At 10 PM Wednesday the stage was 16.3 feet...and rising.
* Minor flooding is occurring and forecast.
* Flood stage is 16 feet.
* The river will continue rising to near 17.6 feet by early Friday
morning. The river will fall below flood stage Sunday before
midnight.
* At 18 feet...Minor flooding expands in the woodlands and pastures
upstream and downstream from the gage on U.S. Highway 280. A
campground and a few out buildings begin to flood several miles
south of Mount Vernon. Eleven homes in the Cherokee Sand Ridge
subdivision are surrounded by water. Dead River Road becomes
flooded and is closed.
