THE FOG SHOULD GRADUALLY LIFT LATER THIS MORNING. HOWEVER...RAIN ACROSS THE LOWLANDS WILL CONTINUE AS THE NEXT IN A SERIES OF WINTER STORM SYSTEMS MOVES THROUGH THE STATE TODAY. SNOW IS LIKELY IN THE MOUNTAINS OF THE GILA REGION AND IN THE SACRAMENTO MOUNTAINS. 1 TO 3 INCHES OF SNOW FOR ELEVATIONS ABOVE 6000 FEET IS POSSIBLE TODAY...RESULTING IN SNOW PACKED MOUNTAIN ROADS AND PASSES. THE SHOWERS WILL TAPER OFF AND END LATE THIS AFTERNOON OUT WEST AND IN THE EARLY EVENING IN THE EAST. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY ANOTHER WINTER STORM SYSTEM WILL MOVE INTO THE STATE THURSDAY AFTERNOON WITH A POTENTIAL FOR AN ADDITIONAL 2 TO 5 INCHES OF SNOW FOR THE THE GILA REGION AND SACRAMENTO MOUNTAINS THURSDAY THROUGH FRIDAY. THIS SYSTEM DOES HAVE COLDER AIR ASSOCIATED WITH IT THAT WILL LOWER SNOW LEVELS DOWN TO THE LOWLANDS BY FRIDAY MORNING. 1 TO 3 INCHES OF SNOW MAY OCCUR FOR LOWLANDS NORTH AND WEST OF THE EL PASO-LAS CRUCES METRO AREAS FRIDAY MORNING. DRY BUT MUCH COLDER CONDITIONS WILL OCCUR FOR THE FIRST PART OF THE THE WEEKEND. BUT...YET ANOTHER WINTER STORM SYSTEM WILL MOVE THROUGH STATE LATE SUNDAY AND SUNDAY NIGHT WITH MORE SNOW FOR THE MOUNTAINS AND A MIX OF RAIN AND SNOW FOR THE LOWLANDS.
