CENTRAL...SOUTHWEST AND WEST CENTRAL KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

DAY 1 DISCUSSION

A RED FLAG WARNING CONTINUES THIS AFTERNOON FOR AREAS SOUTH AND
SOUTHWEST OF DODGE CITY THROUGH 7 PM. STRONG WINDS COULD STILL
GUST TO NEAR 50 MPH IN PARTS OF THE RED FLAG WARNING. A STRONG
COLD FRONT WILL BLAST ACROSS WESTERN KANSAS THIS EVENING WITH A
FEW LIGHT RAIN SHOWERS, OR AN ISOLATED RUMBLE OF THUNDER FROM NEAR
SYRACUSE TO GARDEN CITY AND HAYS AND NORTH, THEN ENDING AROUND
MIDNIGHT. THE COLD FRONT WILL SHIFT THE WINDS TO NORTHWESTERLY AT
25 TO 35 MPH WITH SOME HIGHER GUSTS.
