.DISCUSSION...
Models remarkably similar past 72 hours with minute differences.
Cold front will continue to lie from just east of Barrow and then
southward to about Fairbanks and then southwestward from there.
expect showers and possible thunderstorms to the east of the
frontal boundary.

In addition...the thermal trough will be positioned from about
Northway to Wiseman to about Howard Pass in the Western Brooks
Range.

Upper level high will continue to build over Eastern Alaska. This
will continue to stabilize the entire area through much of the
week. Expect that much of the precipitation that is associated
with convection in the Interior will be on the decline after
Tuesday.

Extremely warm air makes it way into the Northern and Central Interior
late this week. Numerous places will see high temperatures in the
80s and maybe a couple will see to it the lower 90s which will
shatter the old records already in place.

A much stronger front is scheduled to begin to impact the Northwestern
part of Alaska by around early Friday morning or Thursday
afternoon.

Coastal Hazard Potential Days 3 and 4...None.

.FIRE WEATHER...
RH values will continue to decrease for the next several days as
the ridge build in. The subsidence in the High will cause the
surface based layers to increase in temperatures as well as an
increase in the upper level temperatures. Therefore the entire
airmass will continue to stabilize after Monday.

.HYDROLOGY...
Although moderate rainfall on the Arctic Slope on Sunday...it
doesn't appear that there will be any hydro issues in the Eastern
Interior or the North Central Interior through Tuesday.
