* Forecast...The Poteau River near Panama is expected to rise above 
  flood stage late Friday evening and continue to rise to near 36.2 
  feet by Saturday evening. The river is expected to fall below flood
  stage Sunday afternoon.
* Impact...At 37.0 feet, extensive flooding of crop and pasturelands 
  occur between Shady Point and Arkoma. Many roads in the floodplain 
  become impassable.

  above flood stage Friday afternoon and continue to rise to near 
  33.9 feet by Saturday before dawn. The river is expected to fall 
  below flood stage early Saturday afternoon.
* Impact...At 33.0 feet, several permanent structures on the 
  campgrounds along the west bank of Kiamichi River near Moyers 
  become flooded. The City of Antlers is not threatened directly by 
  the Kiamichi flooding but backwater flooding may occur along Beaver
  Creek east of town.

* Impact...At 35.0 feet, widespread flooding occurs along the west 
  bank of the Kiamichi River near Moyers. Buildings on campgrounds 
  become flooded. This will exceed the flooding which occurred on 
  July 3, 2007 when the river crested at 34.51 feet. The City of 
  Antlers is not threatened directly by the Kiamichi flooding but 
  backwater flooding occurs along Beaver Creek closing Ethel Road. 
  This is a dangerous situation.

Showers have increased in coverage some across ne OK this morning.
Have opted to remove thunder for the rest of the morning based on
latest trends. Pops look good at this time through the
afternoon and will leave as is. Temperatures arent going to warm
but a few degrees more than what is currently observed...so mid
and upper 60s for the afternoon look fine at this point. Current
flood watch will be left as is with timing/onset of the heavier
rainfall remaining in agreement with latest model guidance. Will
also have to monitor ice potential across parts of ne OK Friday
into Saturday as some model guidance has become more consistent
with bringing below freezing temperatures into parts of the area.
