* At 7:00 PM Tuesday, the stage was 356.41 feet.
* Flood stage is 357.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The Arkansas River at Ozark Lock and Dam is expected to
rise to near flood stage Wednesday morning. However, additional
significant rainfall is expected Wednesday and Thursday, which could
result in additional rises and more substantial flooding. Interests
along the river should continue to monitor the latest forecasts and
be prepared to react to greater flooding.
* Impact...At 357.0 feet, flooding affects agricultural use lands
along the river downstream of the lock and dam in Franklin County.
Gas fields are also subject to flooding downstream. Equipment and
livestock should be moved to higher ground.

above flood stage early Thursday afternoon and continue to rise to
near 30.8 feet by Friday before dawn . The river is expected to
fall below flood stage late Friday evening. However, additional heavy
rainfall may cause the river to go higher or stay above flood stage
longer than currently forecast. Continue to monitor the latest forecasts.
* Impact...At 31.0 feet, a boating marina north of the OG&E power
plant is flooded. Areas on the grounds of the OG&E power plant may
be threatened. Some agricultural lands are flooded.

* Forecast...The Arkansas River at Van Buren will continue rising to
near 26.8 feet Saturday before dawn . The river is expected to fall
below flood stage late Sunday evening. However, additional heavy
rainfall may cause the river to go higher or stay above flood stage
longer than currently forecast. Continue to monitor the latest forecasts.
* Impact...At 27.0 feet, extensive lowland flooding occurs east of the
I-540 bridge to Vache Grasse Creek. Sand and gravel companies,
marine terminals, and similar businesses in the floodplain begin to
flood. The lowest seating rows in the Kelley Park amphitheater are
covered by high water.

TS BILL NOW MAKING LANDFALL ON THE TX COAST. THE SYSTEM WILL TRACK
NWWD AND WILL EVENTUALLY RECURVE ACROSS EASTERN OKLAHOMA AND
NORTHWEST ARKANSAS ON THURSDAY IN A WEAKNESS BETWEEN 2 SUBTROPICAL
RIDGES. THE DATA HAS TRENDED FARTHER TO THE NORTHWEST WITH THE
HEAVIER QPF AXIS BASED ON A FARTHER WEST TRACK OF THE SYSTEM.
AREAS FROM SOUTH CENTRAL OKLAHOMA UP THE I-44 CORRIDOR LOOK TO
HAVE THE BEST POTENTIAL FOR THE HEAVIEST RAINS. 4-7 INCHES OF
RAINFALL ARE POSSIBLE WITH THE SYSTEM...WITH A FEW LOCATIONS
POSSIBLY RECEVING AS MUCH AS A FOOT OF RAIN...MAINLY ALONG AND TO THE
NORTHEAST OF THE CENTER. LIFE-THREATENING FLASH FLOODING IS LIKELY
WHERE THIS OCCURS...AND MAIN STEM RIVER FLOODING WILL BECOME AN
ISSUE WHICH WILL LAST FOR MANY DAYS AFTERWARD. AN ISOLATED TORNADO
THREAT WILL ALSO BEGIN AS SOON AS LATE TONIGHT IN THE FAR
SOUTH...AND THEN SPREAD NORTH INTO OUR REGION WEDNESDAY AND

SEEM LIKELY FOR MUCH OF THE AREA...WITH SOME LOCAL AMOUNTS AS HIGH
AS 12 INCHES.
RAINFALL OF THIS MAGNITUDE WILL LEAD TO FLASH FLOODING AND RIVER
FLOODING. THIS EVENT COULD EASILY EXCEED THE FLOODING THAT
OCCURRED AT THE END OF MAY.
IN ADDITION...STRONG WINDS TYPICALLY ASSOCIATED WITH A DECAYING
TROPICAL SYSTEM WILL GUST TO ABOUT 35 MILES AN HOUR.
