AT 218 PM EDT...A LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING HEAVY RAIN WAS
SITUATED ALONG THE CREST OF THE BLUE RIDGE IN NORTHERN NORTH
CAROLINA. THESE STORMS WERE VERY SLOW MOVING...DRIFTING SOUTHEAST AT
AROUND 5 MPH. RAINFALL RATES WITH SOME OF THE STRONGER CELLS RANGED
FROM 2 TO 4 INCHES PER HOUR. SHOULD THESE STORMS REMAIN IN PLACE FOR
AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME...LOCALIZED FLOODING MAY OCCUR. WINDS IN
EXCESS OF 30 MPH ARE ALSO POSSIBLE WITH THESE STORMS.
