...The National Weather Service in Charleston Wv has issued a flood warning for 
the following rivers... Greenbrier River...

Affecting the following counties in West Virginia...Pocahontas.

snow depths of 6 to 8 inches were reported in and near the greenbrier valley today
with some locations seeing over 20 inches of snow.  the combination of heavy rain...
as much as one and a half inches today into Wednesday...and significant runoff as
the snow across the area melts will cause the Greenbrier River to rise above flood
stage tonight.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around and don't drown.  Do not drive into areas where
water is flowing over the roadway.  Most deaths occur when motorists
try crossing flooded roads.

Greenbrier and the Little Sandy Rivers to rise.  These rivers will 
continue to rise overnight and reach flood stage by Wednesday 
morning.

Due to the rain and saturated ground, runoff has caused the Greenbrier 
and the Little Sandy Rivers to rise.  The Little Sandy river is above
flood stage and has crested and will continue a slow fall this morning. 
The Greenbrier River will continue to rise this morning and reach flood 
stage around noon today.

  the Ohio River At Point Pleasant.
* AT  1:00 AM Thursday the stage was 40.0 feet. 
* Minor Flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 40.0 feet.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by after midnight this morning and continue 
  to rise to near 41.2 feet by this evening. the river will fall below flood 
  stage by early Saturday morning.
* At stages near 41.0 feet...The Addison, Blaville road in Ohio is flooded and 
  low lying areas surrounding Point Pleasant and vicinity are flooded due to 
  backwater.
* A crest near 41.2 feet compares to a previous crest of 40.6 feet on February 2 
  2013.

* Minor Flooding is occurring and Minor Flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* Forecast...The River will continue rising to near 16.7 feet by this morning. 
  The river will fall below flood stage this evening.
* At stages near 17.0 feet...Flooding of the streets of Belington due to storm 
  sewers backing up. Many low lying areas are flooded.
* A crest near 16.7 feet compares to a previous crest of 17.2 feet on March 5 
  2015.

CROSSES MIDWEEK...FOLLOWED BY A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM LATE IN THE
WEEK.

.NEAR TERM /THROUGH TONIGHT/...
ARW EAST AND NAM12 ARE SHOWING THE HIGHEST RAINFALL AMOUNTS FROM
NORTHEAST WV INTO SOUTHEAST OHIO OR WEST CENTRAL WV. THESE AMOUNTS
ARE AROUND OR SLIGHTLY OVER FLASH FLOOD GUIDANCE. WITH WATERWAYS
STILL RUNNING HIGHER THAN NORMAL...FEEL A FLOOD WATCH IS WARRANTED.
WILL EXPAND THE WATCH FURTHER NORTHWARD.

WILL ALSO INCREASE THE POPS EARLY THIS MORNING IN AREAS WHERE THE
RAIN HAS ALREADY ARRIVED.

A COLD FRONT WILL CONTINUE TO PRODUCE COPIOUS ACCUMULATIONS OF
RAIN MAINLY ACROSS THE SOUTHERN COAL FIELDS AND EXTREME VA
COUNTIES EARLY WEDNESDAY...BEFORE MOVE EAST OF THE APPALACHIANS.

THIS FRONT WILL BE A SLOW MOVER...BUT QPF AMOUNTS WILL BE
DIMINISHING WITH TIME. THE FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES INTO WEDNESDAY.

A BRIEF PERIOD OF HIGH PRESSURE WILL BRING DRY WEATHER WEDNESDAY
NIGHT INTO THURSDAY. ANOTHER SYSTEM WILL APPROACH FROM THE SOUTH
THURSDAY NIGHT TO BRING ANOTHER BATCH OF PRECIPITATION TO THE
AREA.
