AFTERNOON/THURSDAY NIGHT ALONG THE MTNS/PLAINS INTERFACE AND
EASTERN PLAINS. BOTH OF THESE POTENTIAL RAIN EVENTS CAN BE TIED TO
THE REMNANTS OF TROPICAL CYCLONE BLANCA.

WEDNESDAY...

THE ACTUAL REMNANT CIRCULATION OF BLANCA IS FORECAST TO BE
LOCATED OVER WEST CENTRAL NEVADA AT THIS TIME. THIS CIRCULATION
WILL BE IN THE PROCESS OF GETTING ABSORBED INTO A PACIFIC 500 MB
CLOSED CIRCULATION WHICH WILL BE MOVING ONSHORE OF C CALIF AT THIS
TIME. IN THE MEANTIME...A BAND OF MOISTURE FROM BLANCA...MOSTLY IN
THE MID AND UPPER LEVELS OF THE ATMOSPHERE...WILL EXTEND FROM THE
REMNANT CIRCULATION LOCATED OVER WEST CENTRAL NEVADA TO NORTHERN
NEW MEXICO. THIS BAND OF MOISTURE WILL MOVE OVER COLORADO MAINLY
DURING THE MORNING AND EARLY AFTERNOON HOURS. AT THIS TIME...IT

OVERNIGHT...STORM COVERAGE WILL INCREASE ALONG THE CONTINENTAL
DIVIDE...WHERE SOME LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL WILL BECOME POSSIBLE OVER
THE EASTERN SAN JUAN MOUNTAINS TOWARD SUNRISE ON WEDNESDAY.

A MORE SERIOUS FLOODING CONCERN WILL DEVELOP OVER THE SOUTHERN
MOUNTAINS...THE I-25 CORRIDOR REGION AND THE EASTERN PLAINS FROM
LATE THURSDAY AFTERNOON...THURSDAY NIGHT AND INTO FRIDAY. THE
COMBINATION OF SATURATED GROUND...REMNANT MOISTURE FROM HURRICANE
BLANCA AND A COOL FRONT WILL ALLOW FOR HEAVY RAINS TO DEVELOP.
FLASH FLOODING AND RIVER FLOODING COULD OCCUR THURSDAY NIGHT INTO
FRIDAY. THE GREATEST CONCERN FOR FLOODING WILL BE ACROSS THE
GREATER PIKES PEAK REGION...ALTHOUGH ALL OF THE PLAINS AND
SOUTHERN MOUNTAINS COULD SEE FLOODING CONDITIONS DEVELOP.
