SOME OF THE STORMS MAY BE STRONG ENOUGH TO PRODUCE SEVERE WEATHER INCLUDING LARGE HAIL...DAMAGING WINDS...AND HEAVY RAINFALL. MAJOR FLOODING WILL CONTINUE ALONG THE ILLINOIS RIVER FROM LA GRANGE LOCK AND DAM TO THE CONFLUENCE OF THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY A HEAT ADVISORY HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR THE SAINT LOUIS METROPOLITAN AREA FROM FRIDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH SUNDAY NIGHT BECAUSE HEAT INDEX VALUES WILL REACH AT LEAST 100 DEGREES FOR FOUR DAYS IN A ROW. THE MOST OPPRESSIVE DAYS WILL BE ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY WHEN HEAT INDEX VALUES REACH BETWEEN 105 AND 110 DEGREES.
