.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT
AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE COMBINED WITH A DEVELOPING AREA OF
SURFACE LOW PRESSURE OVER SOUTHEAST TEXAS WILL PRODUCE WIDESPREAD
SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS MUCH OF THE AREA TODAY.
THE HEAVIEST RAINFALL IS EXPECTED ACROSS INTERIOR SOUTHEAST
TEXAS...MAINLY NORTHWEST OF A SOUR LAKE TO NEWTON LINE...WHERE
RAINFALL TOTALS OF ONE TO TWO INCHES IS EXPECTED. WIDESPREAD OR
SIGNIFICANT FLOODING IS NOT EXPECTED AT THIS TIME...BUT SOME
LOCALIZED FLOODING WILL BE POSSIBLE ESPECIALLY IN LOW LYING AND
URBAN AREAS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY
PERIODS OF LIGHT TO MODERATE RAIN WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THURSDAY
AS THE SURFACE LOW MOVES NORTHEAST AND BRINGS A WEAK COLD FRONT
THROUGH THE AREA. THE FRONT WILL BECOME STALLED ACROSS SOUTHEAST
LOUISIANA AND THE NORTH CENTRAL GULF...WHILE AN UPPER TROUGH
REMAINS WEST OF THE REGION...AIDING IN THE CONTINUED CHANCE FOR
RAIN. AN ADDITIONAL ONE TO THREE INCHES OF RAIN CAN BE EXPECTED
DURING THIS TIME...WITH THE HIGHEST RAINFALL TOTALS EXPECTED
ACROSS THE ACADIANA REGION. THESE RAINFALL TOTALS COULD LEAD TO
SOME FLOODING PROBLEMS ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE AREA...ESPECIALLY IF
HEAVY TRAINING BANDS DEVELOP...AND A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MAY BECOME
NECESSARY LATER TODAY OR TONIGHT.

WIDESPREAD SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS CAN BE EXPECTED
TUESDAY...WITH SHOWERS REMAINING LIKELY THROUGH THURSDAY AS A WEAK
COLD FRONT CROSSES THE COASTAL WATERS AND BECOMES STALLED OVER THE
NORTH CENTRAL GULF. MODERATE EAST TO SOUTHEAST WINDS WILL SHIFT TO
THE NORTHWEST LATE TUESDAY IN THE WAKE OF THE FRONT...WITH
MODERATE OFFSHORE FLOW EXPECTED THROUGH THE REMAINDER OF THE WEEK.
SOME STORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING HEAVY RAINFALL THAT COULD
REDUCE VISIBILITIES AND OCCASIONAL CLOUD TO WATER LIGHTNING.
