.Recent and ongoing heavy rain will bring area rivers into minor or moderate
flooding. Heavy rain is expected to continue overnight and into Tuesday morning. 


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety message...Never drive vehicles through flooded areas. the 
water may be too deep to allow safe passage. Never allow children to 
play in or near flood waters. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather Radio or

  PM Tuesday June 16 and fall below flood stage around  1 PM Thursday
  June 18.
* At 13.0 feet...South Mill Street lumber company built wall to 
  prevent flooding after December 1990 flood.  
* This crest compares to a previous crest of 13.0 feet which occurred 
  on Jan 13 2005.

* Forecast...the river will rise to crest near 25 feet around 8 pm Wednesday
  June 17th. 
* At 24.5 feet...Major flooding is in progress with water at the top 
  of the levee protecting the Central Soya Plant.  US 224 at Decatur 
  is closed by flood water and US Highway 33 near Wilshire, Ohio 
  begins to flood. Extensive flooding of the east side of Decatur 
  along with Bellmont High School occurs. Evacuations become 
  necessary.
