...A Flood Warning continues for portions of the following rivers in 
Indiana...

  Big Blue River...Big Walnut Creek...Buck Creek...Driftwood River...
  Eagle Creek...East Fork White River...Eel River...Fall Creek...
  Flatrock River...Mill Creek...Muscatatuck River...Sugar Creek...
  Tippecanoe River...Wabash River...White River...Youngs Creek...

.Widespread river flooding will return to central Indiana this
weekend and continue in western and southern Indiana through the
week of June 28.  Significant river flooding will occur along much
of the Wabash River from Lafayette to the Ohio River.

Early Friday afternoon local heavy rains of more than an inch had
fallen in portions of western Indiana.  This caused local flash
flooding.  On Thursday night portions of southern Greene and
northern Daviess Counties measured over 5 inches of rain.  An
additional 1 to possibly more than 2 inches of rain may fall by
Saturday afternoon in central and southern Indiana.

Flood crests are expected to approach and may exceed levels seen
earlier in June.  Flooding in southwest Indiana will be somewhat
higher than levels seen in early July 2010.  Flooding in southwest
Indiana may continue into the middle of July.

Flooding continues to affect local river roads ... extensive
agricultural lands and possibly some residential areas.

Precautionary/Preparedness Actions...

Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go 
another way. Keep children away from flooded areas. Recreational and 
agricultural interests should remain alert to changing river 
conditions.

* At 8.5 feet...A frequent high water level.  This occurs about two or
  three times a year.  Local roads near the Big Blue River flood.  
  Water level enters dog houses in southern Carthage and affects used
  auto parts yard in Carthage.

* At 16.3 feet...Extensive flooding occurring along Big Blue River.  
  Several residences in Shelbyville had water in their yards on March
  6, 2011.  One day later extensive flooding at mile marker 82.5 in 
  the Edinburgh area.  Several homes along Sugar Creek were evacuated
  when the level peaked at nine ft on the New Palestine gage one day 
  earlier.

  19, 2013 at this level water surrounded several residences with 
  some local residences requesting water rescues because they could 
  not get out.  Local roads along Big Walnut Creek at flooded.

* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by tomorrow early afternoon and 
  continue to rise to near 11.3 feet by tomorrow early afternoon.the 
  river will fall below flood stage by Tuesday morning.
* At 14.9 feet...Extensive flooding along Driftwood River in northern 
  Bartholomew County on March 7 2011.   Double Y Saddle Club area 
  extensively flooded.  Water flowing over CR 950 N to Club.  CR 330W
  is flooded just south of its intersection with Ohio Ridge Rd.  CR 
  500N west of CR 250W is flooded blocking vehicular access to 
  residences near the river bank.  Lowell Public Access site is 
  completely flooded.  Water very near several residences and 
  seasonal homes along CR 330W and CR 325W.

  gravel pit begins to flood.  Livestock and equipment must be 
  relocated to higher ground.  High water surrounds river residences 
  near Rockford.  CR 760 E south of river gaging station is 
  impassable.

* At 25.0 feet...During the late March 2008 flood, the Bedford Times 
  reported the following County Roads still under water; River Road, 
  entire Road; Bartlettsville Road, by the bridge and in the bottoms;
  Judah-Logan Road, by the bridge; Logan Bottoms, the gravel part; 
  Donica Church Road, between Logan Bottom and the hill; Peerless 
  Road, by Mica Metals; Little Salt Creek Run; Stumphole Bridge Road,
  near Indiana State Road 450; Huron-Williams Road; Lawrenceport 
  Road; Rivervale Road and Earl Road.

* At 21.2 feet...At this level during December 2013 backwater reached 
  the tailwater of Lake Monroe as Salt Creek stopped falling.  The 
  crest of the river followed 2 days later and reached 27.6 feet at 
  Bedford and caused Salt Creek to rise nearly 6 feet at the 
  tailwater of Monroe Lake.

* At 11.0 feet...Major flood in progress. Flooding of a few homes in 
  the New Palestine area begins. Sugar Creek is extensively flooding.
  Some local river roads flooded by a few feet of water.  Shelby CR 
  700N may be flooded east of the bridge over Sugar Creek especially 
  if Buck Creek at Acton is 13 feet or higher.  Several homes 
  possibly damaged in western Shelby County.
