...The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a Flood
Warning for portions of the following rivers in southern Indiana...
East Fork White River...Muscatatuck River...Wabash River...
.Extensive lowland to significant river flooding will develop this
weekend and the week of June 21 in southern Indiana. Much of area
received 3 to more than 6 inches of rainfall since Thursday morning.
Flooding will affect a few residential areas...numerous river roads
and considerable agricultural lands. Flooding will last from a few
days to more than 2 weeks in southwest Indiana.
Precautionary/Preparedness Actions...
Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go
another way. Keep children away from flooded areas. Recreational and
agricultural interests should remain alert to changing river
conditions.

reported the following County Roads still under water; River Road,

feet this afternoon.
* At 21.2 feet...At this level during December 2013 backwater reached
the tailwater of Lake Monroe as Salt Creek stopped falling. The
crest of the river followed 2 days later and reached 27.6 feet at
Bedford and caused Salt Creek to rise nearly 6 feet at the
tailwater of Monroe Lake.

...A Flood Warning continues for portions of the following rivers in
western...central and southern Indiana...
Big Walnut Creek...East Fork White River...Eel River...Muscatatuck
River...Tippecanoe River...Wabash River...White River...Wildcat
Creek...
.Widespread river flooding will continue this weekend in central
Indiana and much of the week of June 21 in western and southern
Indiana. Significant river flooding will occur along the Wabash River
from Covington to near Mount Carmel Illinois and portions of the East
Fork White and Muscatatuck Rivers in Jackson and Washington Counties.
The remainder of central and southern Indiana will see lowland to
extensive lowland river flooding. Flooding will last from 1 to 3 days
in central Indiana and to more than two weeks in southwest Indiana.
Early Saturday afternoon...rivers along and north of I-70 were near
crest or have crested. Less than an inch of rain fell in most of
the area along and north or I-70. As a result...flooding will end
along the White River in central Indiana and other small streams
and rivers by Monday.
The heaviest rainfall occurred in southern Indiana. Some areas
received over 5 inches of rainfall since Friday morning. Total
rainfall from Bill measured 3 to more than 7 inches since Thursday
morning. Most rivers in southern Indiana will rise sharply through
Sunday afternoon. Extensive river flooding will continue through the
week of June 21.
For the week ending June 20...considerable areas of southern and
northern Indiana received 4 to over 8 inches of rain. A few areas
saw a foot of rain. Much of Indiana was very wet on Saturday
afternoon.
Flooding will affect residential areas along portions of the Wabash
... White ... East Fork of the White and Muscatatuck Rivers along
with numerous roads and extensive agricultural lands.
