...The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a Flood
Warning for portions of the following rivers in north central and
western Indiana...
Tippecanoe River...Wabash River...Vermilion River
.Lowland flooding will develop quickly along portions of the
Tippecanoe...Wabash and Vermilion Rivers in north central and
western Indiana. Significant flooding is not expected at this time.
Flooding will affect some local and state Roads...low agricultural
land and some river parks. River flooding began early this morning
in east central Illinois and north central Indiana.
Rainfall of 2 to possibly more than 5 inches fell since Sunday
afternoon in east central Illinois and north central Indiana.
Flooding along the Vermilion River in west central Indiana will be
the highest since April 2013. High water along the Wabash and
Tippecanoe River will be 1 to possibly 3 feet higher than seen a
week ago.
Precautionary/Preparedness Actions...
Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go
another way. Keep children away from flooded areas. Recreational and
agricultural interests should remain alert to changing river
conditions.
