...A Flood Warning continues for portions of the following rivers in 
Indiana...

  Wabash River...

.Lowland flooding developed along portions of the Wabash River
in the Lafayette area late this morning.  High water will spread
downstream this week and cause flooding along portions of the river
in the Covington...Montezuma...Terre Haute and Hutsonville
area.  Flooding will last 2 to possibly 4 days.

Flooding will affect mostly agricultural fields...a few local roads
and some river parks.  Rainfall of 2 to more than 4 inches fell in
much of northern Indiana during Saturday evening.

Precautionary/Preparedness Actions...

Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go 
another way. Keep children away from flooded areas. Recreational and 
agricultural interests should remain alert to changing river 
conditions.

* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by early tomorrow and continue to
  rise to near 17.7 feet by Wednesday early afternoon.the river will 
  fall below flood stage by Thursday afternoon.
* At 17.5 feet...Some low agricultural fields flood.  Backyard flood 
  of cottages a short distance north of US Highway 136.  High water 
  blocks land access to at least one residence.  From April 21 to May
  5, 2011 at least one South River Road resident boated to his house 
  because of prolonged high water when the river was above 17.5 feet.

  Wabash River...


.Lowland flooding developed along portions of the Wabash River
in the Lafayette area late Monday morning.  Lafayette crested this
morning and is beginning a slow descent. High water will spread
downstream this week and cause flooding along portions of the river
in the Covington, Montezuma, Hutsonville, and possibly Terre Haute
area. Flooding will last 2 to possibly 4 days.

Flooding will affect mostly agricultural fields...a few local roads
and some river parks.  Rainfall of 2 to more than 4 inches fell in
much of northern Indiana during Saturday evening. Dry weather is
expected along the Wabash drainage basin through Thursday night.


Precautionary/Preparedness Actions...

Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go 
another way. Keep children away from flooded areas. Recreational and

.Lowland flooding continued along portions of the Wabash River
from the Lafayette area to the Clinton area.  The crest on the
Wabash River was in the Montezuma area late Wednesday morning.

The river will crest in the Terre Haute area on Thursday and in
the Hutsonville area by Sunday. River levels will remain high for at
least 4 days and possibly longer if significant rain falls during
after the weekend and early next week.

Flooding affected mostly agricultural fields...a few local roads
and some river parks.

Thursday morning.  Flooding will end in the Montezuma area today.

AN UPPER LEVEL LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL LINGER ACROSS THE
TENNESSEE RIVER VALLEY TODAY. THIS WILL KEEP CLOUDS ALONG WITH A
FEW LIGHT RAIN SHOWERS ACROSS CENTRAL INDIANA TODAY. THE BEST
CHANCES FOR RAIN WILL BE FOUND ACROSS THE SOUTHEASTERN PARTS OF
CENTRAL INDIANA. COOL NORTHEAST WINDS WILL ALLOW TEMPERATURES TO
ONLY REACH THE 60S.

THE UPPER LOW IS EXPECTED TO LINGER ACROSS THE TENNESSEE VALLEY
THROUGH WEDNESDAY. AT THE SAME TIME...STRONG SURFACE HIGH
PRESSURE WILL BUILD ACROSS INDIANA FROM THE GREAT LAKES. THIS WILL
