...WINTER STORM WATCH OVER THE NORTHERN AND CENTRAL BLACK HILLS
   TONIGHT THROUGH MONDAY MORNING...
...HIGH WIND WATCH OVER PORTIONS OF WESTERN SOUTH DAKOTA ON
   MONDAY...

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR WESTERN SOUTH DAKOTA AND
NORTHEASTERN WYOMING.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

A POTENT SPRING STORM SYSTEM WILL BRING WIDESPREAD SHOWERS AND
ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS TO THE AREA TODAY. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ARE
NOT EXPECTED AT THIS TIME...BUT GUSTY WINDS AND HEAVY RAINFALL LOOK
POSSIBLE WITH THE STRONGER STORMS. THIS STORM SYSTEM HAS THE
POTENTIAL TO BRING HEAVY RAINFALL AND GUSTY WINDS TO MUCH OF THE
AREA. RUNOFF FROM THIS HEAVY RAINFALL HAS THE POTENTIAL TO CAUSE
FLOODING.

COLDER AIR WILL MOVE INTO THE REGION TONIGHT...BRINGING THE
POSSIBILITY FOR SNOWFALL ACROSS NORTHEAST WYOMING AND ESPECIALLY
ACROSS THE BLACK HILLS. SIX INCHES OR MORE OF SNOW WILL BE POSSIBLE
IN THE BLACK HILLS TONIGHT...WITH 1 TO 2 INCHES ON THE WYOMING
PLAINS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY

SNOW ACCUMULATIONS ARE ALSO LOOKING MORE LIKELY ON PORTIONS OF THE
SOUTH DAKOTA PLAINS MONDAY NIGHT INTO TUESDAY MORNING...WITH 1 TO
3 INCHES POSSIBLE THERE.

STRONG NORTHWEST WINDS OF 35 TO 45 MPH WITH GUSTS TO AROUND 60 MPH
WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE ALONG THE SOUTH DAKOTA PLAINS EAST OF THE
BLACK HILLS MONDAY. THIS INCLUDES THE RAPID CITY AREA.

THERE STILL REMAINS SOME UNCERTAINTY WITH REGARD TO THE TRACK OF
THIS SYSTEM...PARTICULARLY THE AMOUNT OF COLD AIR EXPECTED INTO THE
AREA...WHICH WILL HAVE A LARGE IMPACT ON SNOW AMOUNTS.

HOWEVER...WITH SOIL CONDITIONS JUST BELOW THE SURFACE SATURATED IN
SOME AREAS FROM THE MOISTURE IN OCTOBER...THE SNOW MELT OCCURRING AT
THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS...AND THE NORMALLY DRY CREEKS ALREADY
FULL...THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR FLOODING FROM THIS SYSTEM OVER PARTS
OF THE AREA.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SPOTTER ACTIVATION WILL NOT BE NEEDED.
