SURGING COLD FRONT AS IT PROGRESSES ACROSS KS/NWRN OK/ERN TX
PANHANDLE.

DISCUSSION...RETREATING DRYLINE INTO SURGING COLD FRONT APPEARS TO
BE RESPONSIBLE FOR RECENT RAPID THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT ACROSS THE
ERN TX PANHANDLE.  IT/S NOT REAL CLEAR HOW FAR SOUTH THIS ACTIVITY
WILL DEVELOP ACROSS THE TX SOUTH PLAINS BUT LOW LEVEL CONVERGENCE
WILL INCREASE TOWARD LBB OVER THE NEXT FEW HOURS AND CONVECTION
COULD EVOLVE.

FARTHER NORTH...SCT STRONG STORMS LINGER ALONG THE COLD FRONT FROM
KINGMAN COUNTY KS...NEWD TO DICKINSON COUNTY KS.  NEW DEVELOPMENT IS
LIKELY TO TAKE PLACE ALONG THIS BOUNDARY OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL HOURS
AS 40-50KT LLJ IMPINGES ON SURGING COLD FRONT.
