THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF CENTRAL...EAST
CENTRAL...SOUTH CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST COLORADO.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

STRONG NORTHERLY WINDS OF 30 TO 40 MPH WITH GUSTS TO AROUND 60 MPH
CAN BE EXPECTED ACROSS THE EASTERN COLORADO PLAINS THROUGH THE
AFTERNOON...AS A STRONG JET STREAM OVER THE ROCKIES CONTINUES TO
TRANSLATE EAST INTO THE HIGH PLAINS STATES.

THE STRONG WINDS...COMBINED WITH OCCASIONAL LIGHT SNOW...ESPECIALLY
FOR AREAS ALONG THE PALMER DIVIDE IN NORTHERN EL PASO COUNTY...WILL
CREATE HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS IN SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW THROUGH
THE LATE MORNING. VISIBILITIES OF A 1/4 MILE OR LESS AT TIMES WILL
BE POSSIBLE THIS MORNING...ESPECIALLY ACROSS WEST TO EAST ORIENTED
ROADWAYS SUCH AS HIGHWAYS 24 AND 94 IN NORTHEASTERN EL PASO COUNTY.
TRAVEL NORTH FROM COLORADO SPRINGS TO DENVER WILL ALSO BE HAZARDOUS
THROUGH THE MORNING. FURTHER SOUTH AND EAST...LOCALIZED AREAS OF
BLOWING DUST MAY ALSO CREATE TRAVEL IMPACTS THROUGH THE AFTERNOON.
DRIVERS SHOULD REMAIN ALERT AND SLOW DOWN WHEN ENCOUNTERING AREAS OF
REDUCED VISIBILITIES.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY

ANOTHER WEATHER SYSTEM WILL MOVE TOWARD COLORADO LATE
THURSDAY...THEN ACROSS THE STATE THURSDAY NIGHT INTO FRIDAY. SNOW
WILL DEVELOP ALONG THE CONTINENTAL DIVIDE THURSDAY AFTERNOON...AND
BECOME HEAVY AT TIMES THURSDAY NIGHT INTO EARLY FRIDAY. OVER THE
REMAINDER OF THE MOUNTAINS AND ACROSS THE PLAINS...LIGHT SNOW WILL
DEVELOP THURSDAY NIGHT AND PERSIST INTO FRIDAY MORNING. THE BEST
CHANCE FOR ACCUMULATING SNOW OVER EASTERN COLORADO WILL OCCUR OVER
THE EASTERN SLOPES OF THE SANGRE DE CRISTO AND WET MOUNTAINS...AS
WELL AS THE PALMER DIVIDE AND RATON MESA.

STILL ANOTHER WEATHER SYSTEM WILL IMPACT THE AREA EARLY NEXT
WEEK...BRINGING THE THREAT OF LIGHT SNOW TO MUCH OF THE AREA
MONDAY INTO EARLY TUESDAY.
