...A Flood Warning continues for portions of the following rivers...

  Big Blue River...Driftwood River...East Fork White River...Eel 
  River...Fall Creek...Mississinewa River...Muscatatuck River...Sugar
  Creek...Wabash River...White River...Wildcat Creek...


.Widespread flooding continued along rivers in central and southern
Indiana following rainfall from the recent storms and rapid snow
melt.  Flooding affected local and state roads and some residential
areas.  

At least 20 residences remain displaced because of localized flooding
from ice jams along the Wildcat Creek in Tippecanoe County.
Automated equipment and local reports indicated ice jams remained on
the Wabash River and local tributaries in north central Indiana late
Saturday morning.

Local river residents of Americus...River Junction...Lafayette and
other areas may be at risk for ice jam flooding through Sunday and
possibly longer.  Any ice problems along the Wabash River will be
confined to the areas upstream of I-74.

Flood crests are not expected to exceed those experienced in December
for the White and East Fork White Rivers.  Flooding along the Wabash
River from Lafayette to Vincennes will be higher than December levels
but lower than those seen in April.  Most locations in central
Indiana will crest by Monday.  Locations in western and southern
Indiana will see crest during the week of February 23.

Precautionary/Preparedness Actions...

Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go 
another way. Keep children away from flooded areas. Recreational and 
agricultural interests should remain alert to changing river 
conditions.

* At 13.2 feet...Lowland flooding in progress along Driftwood River
in
  northern Bartholomew County on April 6, 2011. Double Y Saddle Club 
  area flooded.  At least 6 inches of water flowing over CR 950N to 
  Club. Water is less than one foot away from CR 330W just south of 
  its intersection with Ohio Ridge Rd. CR 500N west of CR 250W is 
  flooded blocking vehicular access to residences near the river 
  bank. Lowell Public Access site is open but ramp is totally 
  flooded. Water close to one residence at Shelby CR 1000S and CR 
  900W.

* At 16.4 feet...State Road 258 remained open after the river 
  rebounded quickly to this level in June 2010.  State Road 258 had 
  been flooded a few days earlier after river crested at 17.9 feet.

  White River are threatened by high water, and some are closed.  
  Flooding of agricultural lands in Lawrence County is in progress.
