...A Flood Warning continues for portions of the following rivers in 
central and southern Indiana...

  East Fork White River...Muscatatuck River...Wabash River...White 
  River...Youngs Creek...


.Significant river flooding will continue to impact the lower reaches
of the White...East Fork White and Wabash Rivers in southern Indiana
through the week.  The flood crest on the Wabash River at Mt. Carmel
will be the highest since April 2013.  Flood crests along the lower
reaches of the White and East Fork White Rivers will be similar to
or slightly higher than those in December.  

Rainfall of one-half to one and one-half inches fell Monday night in
central and southern Indiana.  The heaviest rainfall was in central
Indiana.  This rain will cause renewed rises in central Indiana and 
prolong flooding in western and southern Indiana.  Flooding in
southwest Indiana will persist through April 19.  

Flooding affected numerous river roads...extensive agricultural lands
and a few residential areas.

Precautionary/Preparedness Actions...

Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go 
another way. Keep children away from flooded areas. Recreational and 
agricultural interests should remain alert to changing river 
conditions.

* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 15.6 feet by 
  Thursday morning. The river will fall below flood stage Saturday 
  before midnight.
* At 15.6 feet...Jackson County Sherriff's additional roads closed:
CR
  25 N through Honeytown, Slab Road between the river and Ewing, 
  Rockford Road near the skating rink, SR 235 from Medora to Indiana 
  135 possible conflict with Sherriff's report.  All these closing

  reported closed in article by the Bedford Times published on March 
  26, 2008 assuming the interview took place on March 25:  Peerless 
  Road, Lawrenceport Tunnelton Road, Pumphouse Road, Indiana Stote 
  Road 450, Stumphole Bridge Road, Mill Creek Road, Earl Road, Dillon
  Road, River Road and Rager Road.

* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 14.4 feet by this
  evening then begin falling.
* At 14.0 feet...Flooding approaches local residents located on low 
  flood plain areas on local streams.  State Road 450 just east of 
  Williams is extensively flooded and becomes a recreational area for
  local geese and ducks.  Only the highest campgrounds at Williams 
  Dam are out of water.  Huron and Williams Road (Williams Wooden 
  Bridge road) flooded immediately south of Indiana 450 just west of 
  Williams.  Dillman Road (CR 1000 W)  immediately north of Indiana 
  450 begins to flood. Indiana 450 begins to flood at Coxton Road.

level,
  the water only reached the white line of SR 257 south of 
  Washington, but never closed the road.  Shoals only went to 11.67 
  feet during April 2013.  This is the first that locals can remember
  such a high stage for Petersburg and SR 257 remaining open.

afternoon. It is expected to continue falling through Thursday,
after which new rainfall may cause a rise in the level.

Be alert to flood debris on previously flooded roads. Keep children 
away from flooded areas. Recreational and agricultural interests 
should remain alert to changing river conditions.

MEANWHILE...ANOTHER SLOW MOVING UPPER LEVEL WEATHER DISTURBANCE
WILL PUSH EAST ACROSS INDIANA FROM THE CENTRAL PLAINS STATES. THIS
WILL BRING CHANCES FOR LIGHT SHOWERS TO CENTRAL INDIANA TODAY AND
TONIGHT.

A RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE WILL THEN BUILD ACROSS THE AREA ON
WEDNESDAY BRINGING DRY WEATHER AND WARMER TEMPERATURES. THE NEXT

CLOUDINESS OVER INDIANA AND MUCH OF ILLINOIS AND MISSOURI.
WATER VAPOR IMAGERY SHOWS A BROAD TROUGH OVER THE MISSISSIPPI
RIVER VALLEY.

MAIN FORECAST CHALLENGE TODAY WILL BE POPS. GFS AND NAM SUGGEST
THE BROAD UPPER TROUGH TO THE WEST WILL SLOWLY WORK EAST ACROSS
THE OHIO VALLEY TODAY. TIME HEIGHT SECTIONS CONTINUE TO KEEP
SHALLOW LOWER LEVEL MOISTURE IN PLACE ACROSS CENTRAL INDIANA

OF THE LONG TERM PERIOD...SO THE NORTHERN COUNTIES WILL BE DRY ON
FRIDAY MORNING. THE BEST CHANCES FOR RAIN AND ISOLATED
THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE ALONG THE COLD FRONT OVER THE SOUTHERN
