...A Flood Warning continues for portions of the following rivers in 
central and southern Indiana...

  Big Blue River...Big Walnut Creek...Buck Creek...Driftwood River...
  East Fork White River...Eel River...Flatrock River...Haw Creek...
  Mill Creek...Mississinewa River...Muscatatuck River...Sugar 
  Creek...Tippecanoe River...Wabash River...White River...Wildcat 
  Creek...Youngs Creek...


.Signifcant flooding will occur along the Wabash... White...East Fork
White and Muscatatuck Rivers in southern Indiana.  Flood crests in
the Bedford...Williams...Shoals...Petersburg and Hazleton areas will
exceed those of December 2013 by 1 to 2 feet.  This will be the
highest flood levels for these areas since late April-early May
2011.  Near major flooding is possible in the Petersburg and
Hazleton areas next week.

In central Indiana widespread river flooding continued.  Flood crests
in central Indiana will be lower than those experienced in December
2013.  Flood crests along the Wabash River from Lafayette to Terre
Haute will be similar to those seen in January.

Flooding will last from a few days in central Indiana to more than 2
weeks in southwest Indiana.  Flooding affected numerous river roads
and extensive agricultural lands and a few residential areas.

Rainfall of 3 to 7 inches had fallen across central and southern
Indiana from Tuesday night through Friday morning.  The heaviest
rainfall was in southern Indiana.

Precautionary/Preparedness Actions...

Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go 
another way. Keep children away from flooded areas. Recreational and 
agricultural interests should remain alert to changing river 
conditions.

* At 14.9 feet...Extensive flooding along Driftwood River in northern 
  Bartholomew County on March 7 2011.   Double Y Saddle Club area 
  extensively flooded.  Water flowing over CR 950 N to Club.  CR 330W
  is flooded just south of its intersection with Ohio Ridge Rd.  CR 
  500N west of CR 250W is flooded blocking vehicular access to 
  residences near the river bank.  Lowell Public Access site is 
  completely flooded.  Water very near several residences and 
  seasonal homes along CR 330W and CR 325W.

  residents watch the river as it rises above this level.

  immediately north of Indiana 450 just west of Williams is flooded 
  by as much as 2 feet of water.

  8, 2011 three county roads were closed because of East Fork White 
  River flooding in northern Dubois County.  Portersville Rd W was 
  closed in two locations...just east of CR 500W and between CR 650W 
  and CR 660W.  One other county road was flooded.

  Franklin and CR 250 S west of US 31 closed by high water.   Amity 
  ditch is out of its banks.

* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 25.2 feet by 
  Thursday morning then begin falling.
* At 25.0 feet...A flood has exceeded this level each year since 
  January 2004, 6 out of 7 years since May 2002 and 10 times since 
  May 1990.  Of these 10 recent floods, 7 of them have exceeded the 
  25.8 foot mark with the January 2005 flood the largest since 
  January 1937.  Prior to May 1990, one must go back to March 1964 
  for a flood above 25 feet and back to May 1961 for a flood over 26 
  feet.  The greatest known flood to strike the Petersburg area 
  occurred in March 1913.
