OVERNIGHT HOURS. ALTHOUGH THE LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS IS EXPECTED
TO WEAKEN SOMEWHAT AS IT APPROACHES THE MOUNTAINS...SOME OF THE
THUNDERSTORMS ALONG THE LINE MAY STILL PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT.

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL DEVELOP THROUGHOUT THE PIEDMONT THIS
EVENING. ANY OF THESE THUNDERSTORMS WILL PRODUCE LOCALLY TORRENTIAL
RAINFALL AND FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING. A FEW MAY PRODUCE
DAMAGING WIND GUSTS AND LARGE HAIL.

BACK TO THE WEST...A LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS IS EXPECTED TO WEAKEN AS
IT CROSSES THE NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS FROM THE NORTHWEST LATE THIS
EVENING. HOWEVER...ISOLATED TO SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS MAY SURVIVE
INTO THE ADJACENT FOOTHILLS...AND POSSIBLY OUT INTO THE PIEDMONT
INTO THE EARLY OVERNIGHT HOURS. A FEW CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING
STRIKES AND BRIEFLY GUSTY WINDS WILL BE POSSIBLE WITH ANY
THUNDERSTORMS THAT SURVIVE THE TRIP ACROSS THE MOUNTAINS TONIGHT.
