THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS PORTIONS OF NORTHERN NEVADA...INCLUDING
EASTERN ELKO...WHITE PINE...LANDER/EUREKA...AND NORTHEAST NYE COUNTIES. A FLASH
FLOOD WATCH EXISTS FOR THESE AREAS DUE TO THE POTENTIAL FOR
LOCALIZED HEAVY RAIN FROM THESE STORMS TODAY AND TOMORROW. PLEASE

...WIDESPREAD RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING...

A MOIST LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM IS CENTERED NEAR EUREKA THIS MORNING.
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO QUICKLY REDEVELOP ONCE
TEMPERATURES REACH THE LOWER 70S, AND THIS IS EXPECTED BY 10 TO 11
AM. ONCE THUNDERSTORMS FORM, THEY WILL MOVE SLOWLY AND
ERRATICALLY, AND MANY WILL PRODUCE VERY HEAVY RAINFALL. RAINFALL
RATES OF 1 TO 2 INCHES PER HOUR ARE EXPECTED FROM THE STRONGEST
STORMS, WITH LOCALIZED FLOODING POSSIBLE. WHILE SEVERE WEATHER IS
NOT EXPECTED, ANY STORM WILL BE CAPABLE OF FREQUENT LIGHTNING AND
WIND GUSTS TO 50 MPH. HEAVY RAIN AND FLOODING WILL THE PRIMARY
THREAT THROUGH THIS EVENING. THUNDERSTORM COVERAGE IS EXPECTED TO
BEGIN DECREASING BY 8 PM THIS EVENING.

SMALL HAIL...HEAVY RAIN AND FREQUENT DANGEROUS LIGHTNING WILL
ACCOMPANY THESE STORMS.

RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF UP TO ONE INCH IN AN HOUR WILL ACCOMPANY THIS
