.RIVER FLOODING WILL DEVELOP DURING CHRISTMAS WEEK IN MUCH OF CENTRAL
AND SOUTHERN INDIANA.  SIGNIFICANT FLOODING IS POSSIBLE IN PORTIONS
OF SOUTHERN INDIANA.  FLOOD CRESTS ALONG AND WEST OF THE I-69
CORRIDOR WHICH INCLUDES THE WHITE AND WABASH RIVERS WILL BE THE
HIGHEST SINCE APRIL.  FLOOD CRESTS IN THE EAST FORK WHITE RIVER
BASIN INCLUDING COLUMBUS AND SEYMOUR WILL BE THE HIGHEST SINCE APRIL
2011.

MODERATE TO POSSIBLY HEAVY RAINFALL OF 2 TO MORE THAN 4 INCHES WILL
FALL DURING THE WEEKEND IN CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN INDIANA.  THE
HEAVIEST RAINFALL IS EXPECTED SOUTH OF I-70.  MUCH OF THE RAIN WILL
FALL FROM SATURDAY MORNING THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING.  

FLOODING WILL BEGIN IN A FEW AREAS ON SATURDAY AND CONTINUE INTO THE
EARLY PART OF THE NEW YEAR IN SOUTHWEST INDIANA.  FLOOD WILL PERSIST
FROM 3 DAYS TO MORE THAN A WEEK.  FLOODING WILL AFFECT NUMEROUS
LOCAL RIVER ROADS...FARMLAND AND POSSIBLY A FEW RESIDENTIAL AREAS.

Precautionary/Preparedness Actions...

Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go 
another way. Keep children away from flooded areas. Recreational and 
agricultural interests should remain alert to changing river 
conditions.

  continue to rise to near 11.2 feet by tomorrow early afternoon.the 
  river will fall below flood stage by late Monday morning.
* At 11.0 feet...Major flood in progress.  Flooding of a few homes in 
  the New Palestine area begins.  Sugar Creek is extensively 
  flooding.  Some local river roads flooded by a few feet of water.  
  Shelby CR 700N may be flooded east of the bridge over Sugar Creek 
  especially if Buck Creek at Acton is 13 feet or higher.  Several 
  homes possibly damaged in western Shelby County.

 The Mississinewa River near Ridgeville.

* Minor flooding is occurring and Major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 16.2 feet by 
  early tomorrow. The river will fall below flood stage tomorrow 
  afternoon.
* At 16.1 feet...On February 28, 2011 Mississinewa River approaches 
  record flood.  Flood waters overflow both banks and inundates both 
  approaches to CR 100W bridge and SR 28 between Ridgeville and 
  Deerfield.  SR 1 south of SR 28 and numerous local river roads were
  flooded by more than 2 feet of water.  Many residential areas 
  threatened with 3 homes evacuated at Albany. The WWTP at Eaton was 
  sandbagged and pumped to remain operational. Propane tanks floated 
  away in Albany. Local creek threatens Albany town offices.

  lanes of SR 42 east of the Eel River.  Many county  roads flood 
  extensively.  Flood waters isolate some farm houses.  Water is near
  the top of most agricultural levees. In April 2003...SR 246 west of
  Clay City and SR 59 South of Clay City flooded by the Eel River.

  continue to rise to near 11.3 feet by tomorrow late morning.the 
  river will fall below flood stage by tomorrow early afternoon.
* At 11.1 feet...On February 28, 2011 the first water rescues
occurred
  at CR 200S just east of Pleasant View Rd and CR 1000E about 0.4 
  miles north of SR 32 when Zionsville was 11.1 feet and rising 
  steadily and Prairie Creek near Lebanon was at 14.8 feet.  These 
  locations are located upstream of Zionsville and may indicate 
  extensive flooding within a few hours in the Zionsville area.

.RIVER FLOODING WILL DEVELOP DURING CHRISTMAS WEEK IN MUCH OF CENTRAL
AND SOUTHERN INDIANA.  SIGNIFICANT FLOODING IS POSSIBLE IN PORTIONS
OF SOUTHERN INDIANA.  FLOOD CRESTS ALONG AND WEST OF THE I-69
CORRIDOR WHICH INCLUDES THE WHITE AND WABASH RIVERS WILL BE THE
HIGHEST SINCE APRIL.  FLOOD CRESTS IN THE EAST FORK WHITE RIVER
BASIN INCLUDING COLUMBUS AND SEYMOUR WILL BE THE HIGHEST SINCE APRIL
2011.

MODERATE TO POSSIBLY HEAVY RAINFALL OF 2 TO MORE THAN 4 INCHES WILL
FALL DURING THE WEEKEND IN CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN INDIANA.  THE
HEAVIEST RAINFALL IS EXPECTED SOUTH OF I-70.  MUCH OF THE RAIN WILL
FALL FROM SATURDAY MORNING THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING.  

FLOODING WILL BEGIN IN A FEW AREAS ON SATURDAY AND CONTINUE INTO THE
EARLY PART OF THE NEW YEAR IN SOUTHWEST INDIANA.  FLOOD WILL PERSIST
FROM 3 DAYS TO MORE THAN A WEEK.  FLOODING WILL AFFECT NUMEROUS
LOCAL RIVER ROADS...FARMLAND AND POSSIBLY A FEW RESIDENTIAL AREAS.

  record flood.  Flood waters overflow both banks and inundates both 
  approaches to CR 100W bridge and SR 28 between Ridgeville and 
  Deerfield.  SR 1 south of SR 28 and numerous local river roads were
  flooded by more than 2 feet of water.  Many residential areas 
  threatened with 3 homes evacuated at Albany. The WWTP at Eaton was 
  sandbagged and pumped to remain operational. Propane tanks floated 
  away in Albany. Local creek threatens Albany town offices.

OF SOUTHERN INDIANA.  FLOOD CRESTS ALONG AND WEST OF THE I-69
CORRIDOR WHICH INCLUDES THE WHITE AND WABASH RIVERS WILL BE THE

MODERATE TO POSSIBLY HEAVY RAINFALL OF 2 TO MORE THAN 4 INCHES WILL
FALL DURING THE WEEKEND IN CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN INDIANA.  THE
HEAVIEST RAINFALL IS EXPECTED SOUTH OF I-70.  MUCH OF THE RAIN WILL

.RIVER FLOODING WILL DEVELOP DURING CHRISTMAS WEEK IN MUCH OF CENTRAL
AND SOUTHERN INDIANA.  SIGNIFICANT FLOODING IS POSSIBLE IN PORTIONS
OF SOUTHERN INDIANA.  FLOOD CRESTS ALONG AND WEST OF THE I-69
CORRIDOR WHICH INCLUDES THE WHITE AND WABASH RIVERS WILL BE THE
HIGHEST SINCE APRIL.  FLOOD CRESTS IN THE EAST FORK WHITE RIVER
BASIN INCLUDING COLUMBUS AND SEYMOUR WILL BE THE HIGHEST SINCE APRIL
2011.

MODERATE TO POSSIBLY HEAVY RAINFALL OF 2 TO MORE THAN 4 INCHES WILL
FALL DURING THE WEEKEND IN CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN INDIANA.  THE
HEAVIEST RAINFALL IS EXPECTED SOUTH OF I-70.  MUCH OF THE RAIN WILL
FALL FROM SATURDAY MORNING THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING.  

FLOODING WILL BEGIN IN A FEW AREAS ON SATURDAY AND CONTINUE INTO THE
EARLY PART OF THE NEW YEAR IN SOUTHWEST INDIANA.  FLOOD WILL PERSIST
FROM 3 DAYS TO MORE THAN A WEEK.  FLOODING WILL AFFECT NUMEROUS
LOCAL RIVER ROADS...FARMLAND AND POSSIBLY A FEW RESIDENTIAL AREAS.

Precautionary/Preparedness Actions...

Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go 
another way. Keep children away from flooded areas. Recreational and 
agricultural interests should remain alert to changing river 
conditions.

  record flood.  Flood waters overflow both banks and inundates both 
  approaches to CR 100W bridge and SR 28 between Ridgeville and 
  Deerfield.  SR 1 south of SR 28 and numerous local river roads were
  flooded by more than 2 feet of water.  Many residential areas 
  threatened with 3 homes evacuated at Albany. The WWTP at Eaton was 
  sandbagged and pumped to remain operational. Propane tanks floated 
  away in Albany. Local creek threatens Albany town offices.

  in several residences and seasonal homes along CR 330W and CR 325W.
  Water is deeper on CR 330W just south of Ohio Ridge Rd and CR 500N 
  west of CR 250W.

Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go

* At 16.1 feet...On February 28, 2011 Mississinewa River approaches 
  record flood.  Flood waters overflow both banks and inundates both 
  approaches to CR 100W bridge and SR 28 between Ridgeville and 
  Deerfield.  SR 1 south of SR 28 and numerous local river roads were
  flooded by more than 2 feet of water.  Many residential areas 
  threatened with 3 homes evacuated at Albany. The WWTP at Eaton was 
  sandbagged and pumped to remain operational. Propane tanks floated 
  away in Albany. Local creek threatens Albany town offices.

  Clay City and SR 59 South of Clay City flooded by the Eel River.
