NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
0921 PM CDT SUN MAY 27 2012

AREAS AFFECTED...CNTRL THROUGH NCNTRL KS

CONCERNING...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 305...

VALID 280221Z - 280345Z

THE SEVERE WEATHER THREAT FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 305
CONTINUES.

SUMMARY...THREAT FOR MAINLY ISOLATED HAIL WILL PERSIST FROM
CNTRL-NCTNRL KS THROUGH 03Z OR 04Z. HOWEVER...THE OVERALL THREAT IS
BECOMING INCREASINGLY MARGINAL IN REMAINING PARTS OF WW 305.

DISCUSSION...A COUPLE OF STORMS THAT DEVELOPED EARLIER ALONG THE
DRYLINE PERSIST IN WARM SECTOR ACROSS NCNTRL KS. THESE STORMS WILL
LIKELY CONTINUE A GRADUAL DECREASE AS CONVECTIVE INHIBITION
INCREASES. OTHER STORMS ARE DEVELOPING NEAR THE COLD FRONT-DRYLINE
INTERSECTION NEAR THE NCNTRL KS/NEB BORDER AND NEWD INTO ERN NEB.
TENDENCY HAS BEEN FOR STORMS SOUTH OF THE KS/NEB BORDER TO DECREASE
IN INTENSITY. CURRENT THINKING IS THAT AS THE BOUNDARY LAYER
STABILIZES...SEVERE EVENTS NEXT COUPLE HOURS WILL REMAIN SPARSE OVER
REMAINING PORTIONS OF WW 305.
