THERE IS A SLIGHT RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS...MAINLY LATE THIS AFTERNOON
INTO THE EVENING. SHOULD THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOP...THE PRIMARY
SEVERE WEATHER THREATS WILL BE DAMAGING WINDS...LARGE HAIL AND
FREQUENT LIGHTNING STRIKES.

IN ADDITION...HEAT INDICES WILL APPROACH 105 DEGREES FOR AN HOUR
OR TWO ACROSS THE SOUTHERN PIEDMONT...SANDHILLS AND COASTAL PLAIN.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY.

THERE IS A RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WEDNESDAY...MAINLY
AFTERNOON INTO THE LATE EVENING. THE PRIMARY SEVERE WEATHER

HALF INCH DIAMETER SIZE HAIL.
GUSTY WINDS OF 40 TO 50 MPH.

HEAVY RAINFALL AND MINOR FLOODING.

SEEK SHELTER IN A NEARBY BUILDING OR VEHICLE. STRONG WINDS ARE
CAPABLE OF KNOCKING DOWN SMALL TREES AND BLOWING AROUND TRASH CANS...
POTTED PLANTS...LAWN FURNITURE AND OTHER LIGHT OUTDOOR OBJECTS.

BOATERS ON BADIN LAKE AND LAKE TILLERY AND THOSE CAMPING OUTDOORS
ARE ESPECIALLY VULNERABLE TO THE DANGERS OF LIGHTNING. BOATERS
SHOULD SEEK SAFE HARBOR. THOSE CAMPING SHOULD TAKE SHELTER IN A
NEARBY BUILDING OR VEHICLE.

THIS STORM WILL PRODUCE HEAVY RAINFALL...WHICH WILL CAUSE MINOR
FLOODING OF LOW LYING AREAS INCLUDING DITCHES...CREEKS...ROADWAYS AND
AREAS OF POOR DRAINAGE. AVOID THESE AREAS AND DO NOT CROSS FLOODED
ROADS. MOTORISTS SHOULD ALSO REDUCE DRIVING SPEEDS TO AVOID
HYDROPLANING.
