.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

THERE IS A SLIGHT RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS CENTRAL
NORTH CAROLINA THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING. SCATTERED SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP BY MID TO LATE AFTERNOON IN
ADVANCE OF A STRONG COLD FRONT APPROACHING THE AREA FROM THE
NORTH. ANY STORMS THAT DEVELOP WILL HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO BECOME
SEVERE...WITH A PRIMARY THREAT OF DAMAGING WINDS. THE THREAT FOR
SEVERE WEATHER APPEARS GREATEST BETWEEN 3 PM THIS AFTERNOON AND 10
PM THIS EVENING.
