THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR EASTERN UTAH AND WESTERN
COLORADO.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

SHOWERS WILL INCREASE AS THE DAY WEARS ON...SPREADING FROM THE
EASTERN UINTA MOUNTAINS ACROSS THE NORTHWEST COLORADO PLATEAU AND
INTO THE NORTHERN AND CENTRAL COLORADO MOUNTAINS. SNOW LEVELS WILL
LOWER DURING THE DAY REACHING MOUNTAIN BASES LATE THIS AFTERNOON
INTO THE EARLY EVENING. PERIODS OF SNOW WILL BRING ACCUMULATIONS
RANGING FROM 4 TO 8 INCHES ACROSS THE PARK...GORE AND ELK RANGES
AND THE FLAT TOPS BY SUNRISE THURSDAY. THE EASTERN UINTA MOUNTAINS
CAN EXPECT 3 TO 6 INCHES BY 9 PM THIS EVENING. IN ADDITION TO
SNOW...EXPECT A FEW THUNDERSTORMS TO DEVELOP DURING THE
AFTERNOON. ACROSS THE SOUTHERN HALF OF THE REGION...STRONG AND
GUSTY SOUTHWEST WINDS WILL DEVELOP AHEAD OF A COLD FRONT MOVING
SOUTHWARD THROUGH THE AREA WITH SOME GUSTS APPROACHING 45 MPH AT
TIMES.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY

ADDITIONAL SNOW WILL FALL ACROSS THE NORTHERN AND CENTRAL
MOUNTAINS THURSDAY AND THURSDAY NIGHT THOUGH ADDITIONAL
ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED TO BE LIGHT. A FEW SNOW SHOWERS WILL
LINGER ACROSS THE AREA FRIDAY BEFORE DIMINISHING FRIDAY NIGHT.
FREEZING TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED ACROSS MUCH OF THE REGION EARLY
SATURDAY WITH A SEASON ENDING FREEZE POSSIBLE FOR SOUTHEAST
UTAH...THE GRAND VALLEY...AND THE LOWER ELEVATIONS OF MONTEZUMA
AND DOLORES COUNTIES. A FEW LIGHT SNOW SHOWERS ARE POSSIBLE ACROSS
THE NORTHERN MOUNTAINS PERIODICALLY THROUGH THE WEEKEND...
OTHERWISE QUIET WEATHER WILL RETURN TO THE REGION INTO EARLY NEXT
WEEK.
