DISCUSSION...

A LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS MOVING EAST AND SOUTHEAST FORM THE THE
KANSAS CITY METRO AREA HAS A HISTORY OF PRODUCING DAMAGING WINDS
AND LARGE HAIL. WHILE THESE STORMS ARE EXPECTED TO WEAKEN SOMEWHAT
AS THEY MOVE INTO CENTRAL MISSOURI...SEVERE WEATHER IS STILL
BECOMING INCREASINGLY LIKELY NORTH OF A LINE FROM OSCEOLA TO SALEM
THROUGH 8 AM. DAMAGING WINDS WILL BE THE MAIN SEVERE WEATHER
THREAT ALONG WITH UP TO ONE INCH HAIL.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY.

AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE MOVING INTO THE OUTLOOK AREA ON
SATURDAY WILL BRING OUR NEXT CHANCE FOR THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT.
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM THREATS WILL BE LIMITED...WITH MOST STORMS
EXPECTED TO BE PREDOMINANTLY NORTH OF HIGHWAY 54.

ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORM CHANCES WILL BE POSSIBLE INTO NEXT WEEK
AS SEVERAL UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCES PUSH THROUGH THE REGION.

HEAT INDEX VALUES IN THE MIDDLE TO UPPER 90S ARE EXPECTED ACROSS
MUCH OF THE REGION FRIDAY AND SATURDAY. WITH HEAT INDEX VALUES OF
100 TO 105 IN PARTS OF WESTERN MISSOURI AND SOUTHEAST KANSAS.
