AT 1130 PM EST...SHOWERS WITH MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN WERE ALONG AND
EAST OF THE BLUE RIDGE FROM ROANOKE AND BLACKSBURG SOUTH TO FLOYD
AND MARTINSVILLE. THE SHOWERS THEN EXTENDED SOUTH INTO NORTH
CAROLINA. THE HEAVIEST RAIN WAS ALONG THE BLUE RIDGE IN FLOYD COUNTY
VIRGINIA AND IN PARTS OF NORTHWEST NORTH CAROLINA FROM YADKINVILLE
TO REIDSVILLE. THE SHOWERS WERE MOVING QUICKLY NORTH NEAR 50 MPH.
VERY HEAVY RAIN WILL FALL FROM THESE SHOWERS WITH UP TO AN INCH OR
MORE POSSIBLE IN SPOTS THROUGH 1 AM. THIS MAY CAUSE WATER TO POND ON
ROADS AND QUICKLY FILL ROADSIDE DITCHES AND SMALL STREAMS. WIND
GUSTS TO 40 MPH ARE POSSIBLE WITH THESE SHOWERS.
