THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BINGHAMTON HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  CENTRAL CAYUGA COUNTY IN CENTRAL NEW YORK...

* UNTIL 1215 AM EDT. 

* AT 617 PM EDT...TRAINED WEATHER SPOTTERS REPORTED EXCESSIVE        
  RAINFALL FROM THUNDERSTORMS EARLIER THIS EVENING HAVE PRODUCED
  FLASH FLOODING ABOUT 8 MILES SOUTHEAST OF AUBURN NEAR OWASCO. 
  SIGNIFICANT FLOODING WAS REPORTED IN THIS AREA WITH DITCHES        
  OVERFLOWING INTO ROADS WITH SEVERAL ROAD WASHOUTS. 

* LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE THE AUBURN AREA AND THE OWASCO    
  AREA. 

ANOTHER ROUND OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE THROUGH THE 
WARNED AREA AND CONTINUE SIGNIFICANT FLOODING OF STREAMS...
CREEKS...URBAN...AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS IN AND NEAR THESE LOCATIONS.

  CASOWASCO...MELROSE PARK AND OWASCO.

RAIN IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE UNTIL LATE THIS EVENING. EVEN THOUGH 
THE HEAVIEST RAIN HAS ENDED...AN ADDITIONAL HALF INCH IS POSSIBLE 
BETWEEN 9 PM AND 11 PM. THIS WILL AGGRAVATE THE FLOODING THAT WAS 
REPORTED IN THIS AREA EARLIER THIS EVENING.
