SOME OF THE STORMS COULD BE SEVERE. DAMAGING WINDS ARE THE PRIMARY THREAT. LARGE HAIL IS ALSO POSSIBLE. THE GREATEST CHANCE FOR THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE ACROSS NORTHEAST MISSOURI AND WEST CENTRAL ILLINOIS. AN EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE ST LOUIS METRO AREA. HEAT INDEX VALUES OF 105 TO 108 CAN BE EXPECTED. A HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR MUCH OF THE REMAINDER OF EASTERN MISSOURI AND SOUTHWEST ILLINOIS.
