A WEAK FRONTAL BOUNDARY WILL MEANDER ACROSS NORTH GEORGIA TODAY. DEEP TROPICAL MOISTURE AND A MID LEVEL LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL REMAIN PARKED OVER THE STATE. .PRIMARY HAZARDS... THE PRIMARY HAZARDS FROM THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE WIND GUSTS TO 40 MPH, CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING AND LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN. THE GREATER THUNDERSTORM THREAT WILL OCCUR BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 1 PM AND MIDNIGHT. .DISCUSSION... A FRONTAL BOUNDARY ACROSS NORTH GEORGIA AND A MID LEVEL LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM OVER CENTRAL GEORGIA WILL INTERACT WITH DEEP TROPICAL MOISTURE TO PRODUCE NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING. THIS COUPLED WITH OVER TWO INCH PRECIPITABLE WATER VALUES WILL BRING A THREAT OF LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN... AND POSSIBLY RESULT IN MINOR FLOODING OF LOW LYING... FLOOD PRONE AREAS.
