...GUSTY WINDS AND COLDER TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED WITH THE
ARRIVAL OF A COLD FRONT MONDAY EVENING...

A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL SWEEP THROUGH THE SOUTH PLAINS AREA
THIS EVENING. GUSTY NORTHERLY WINDS WITH SPEEDS OF 25 TO 35 MPH
AND GUSTS TO NEAR 45 MPH ARE EXPECTED WITH THE PASSAGE OF THIS FRONT.
THE STRONGEST WINDS WILL BE LOCATED ACROSS THE FAR
SOUTHWEST PANHANDLE AND WESTERN SOUTH PLAINS. THE WINDS WILL
THEN GRADUALLY DIMINISH FROM NORTH TO SOUTH EARLY TUESDAY MORNING.
IN ADDITION...THERE WILL BE A CHANCE OF SHOWERS ACROSS THE AREA
OVERNIGHT...ESPECIALLY ACROSS THE FAR SOUTHERN PANHANDLE AND
NORTHERN SOUTH PLAINS. TEMPERATURES ON TUESDAY ARE EXPECTED TO BE
ABOUT 20 DEGREES COLDER THAN MONDAY...WITH AFTERNOON HIGHS ONLY IN
THE 60S. LOW TEMPERATURES TUESDAY NIGHT MAY DROP INTO THE MIDDLE
TO UPPER 30S ACROSS THE FAR SOUTHWEST PANHANDLE.
