OF SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA AND SOUTH MISSISSIPPI...SOUTHEAST
LOUISIANA AND SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT

THERE IS A SLIGHT RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS TONIGHT FOR ALL OF
COASTAL AND SOUTHWEST MISSISSIPPI AS WELL AS PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST
LOUISIANA NORTH OF THE INTERSTATE 10/12 CORRIDOR. A MORE GENERAL
RISK OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS EXISTS OVER THE REMAINDER OF SOUTHEAST
LOUISIANA THROUGH TONIGHT. MOST OF THESE THUNDERSTORMS SHOULD REMAIN
BELOW SEVERE LIMITS...BUT AN ISOLATED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WILL BE
POSSIBLE. THESE THUNDERSTORMS COULD PRODUCE FREQUENT LIGHTNING
STRIKES...HEAVY DOWNPOURS...AND STRONG GUSTY WINDS IN EXCESS OF 45
MPH. SOME PONDING OF WATER IN LOW LYING AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS CAN
BE EXPECTED WITH THE HEAVIER DOWNPOURS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY

STRONG NORTHERLY WINDS IN THE WAKE OF THE COLD FRONT WILL RESULT
IN HAZARDOUS SEAS AND WAVES ACROSS THE TIDAL LAKES AND COASTAL
WATERS EARLY FRIDAY MORNING THROUGH EARLY SUNDAY AFTERNOON. THERE
COULD BE FREQUENT GUSTS EXCEEDING GALE FORCE LATE SATURDAY AFTERNOON
AND SATURDAY NIGHT. A SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY
INTO SUNDAY MORNING FOR ALL OF THE COASTAL WATERS AND TIDAL LAKES
...AND A GALE WARNING MAY BE NECESSARY ON SATURDAY AND SATURDAY
NIGHT ACROSS THE GULF COASTAL WATERS.

AT 815 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
CLUSTER OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS 8 MILES NORTHEAST OF FRANKLINTON...
MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 25 MPH.

THE CLUSTER OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL AFFECT AREAS IN AND
AROUND...ANGIE...VARNADO AND BOGALUSA

THE PRIMARY THREATS FROM THESE STORMS ARE FREQUENT LIGHTNING AND WIND
GUSTS 35 TO 45 MPH...WHICH COULD DOWN TREE LIMBS AND BLOW AROUND
UNSECURED SMALL OBJECTS. SEEK SHELTER IN A SAFE HOME OR BUILDING
UNTIL THESE STORMS HAVE PASSED.

THESE STORMS COULD PRODUCE RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF ONE TO TWO INCHES IN A
SHORT PERIOD OF TIME...RESULTING IN PONDING OF WATER AROUND LOW LYING
ROADWAYS. REMEMBER...DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO WATER COVERED
ROADWAYS. THE DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW A SAFE CROSSING.

FREQUENT LIGHTNING IS OCCURRING WITH THESE STORMS. IF OUTDOORS...STAY
