AREAS OF RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED OVER CENTRAL NORTH
CAROLINA TODAY INTO THIS EVENING... AS A COLD FRONT APPROACHES
FROM THE NORTH. DUE TO THE HEAVY RAIN BROUGHT BY TROPICAL STORM
HANNA... THE GROUND REMAINS MOIST... AND STREAMS CONTINUE TO RUN
HIGH ACROSS CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA. THIS ADDITIONAL RAINFALL MAY
PRODUCE LOCALIZED FLOODING IN URBAN AREAS AND IN LOCATIONS WITH
POOR DRAINAGE SUCH AS CONTRUCTION ZONES. TOTAL RAINFALL OF ONE
HALF TO AROUND ONE INCH... WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS... IS
EXPECTED THROUGH TONIGHT.
