THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR MUCH OF CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN
MISSISSIPPI AND EAST CENTRAL LOUISIANA.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT AND THURSDAY

A WINTER STORM WARNING HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR THE AREA ALONG AND SOUTHEAST
OF A LINE FROM WINNSBORO TO ROLLING FORK TO GREENWOOD FROM MIDNIGHT
THROUGH 6 PM THURSDAY. A LARGE UPPER LEVEL SYSTEM IS EXPECTED TO MOVE
ACROSS THE NORTHERN GULF OF MEXICO AND INTO ALABAMA TONIGHT AND
TOMORROW. THIS WILL INITIALLY BRING WIDESPREAD RAIN TO THE AREA BUT AS
THINGS COOL OFF LATE TONIGHT THE RAIN WILL BEGIN TO MIX WITH SNOW.
RAIN SHOULD START TO CHANGE COMPLETELY OVER TO SNOW EARLY THURSDAY
MORNING AND PERSIST THROUGH MOST OF THE DAY. EVEN WITH THE SURFACE
TEMPERATURES EXPECTED ABOVE FREEZING THE SNOW WILL BE MODERATE AT TIMES
LEADING TO SOME ACCUMULATIONS. SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 3 TO 4 INCHES
ARE POSSIBLE AND THERE IS A GOOD CHANCE THAT A LINE OF HEAVIER SNOW
WILL DEVELOP WHICH WOULD LEAD TO GREATER SNOW ACCUMULATIONS.

IN ADDITION...NORTHERLY WINDS WILL INCREASE TO 15 TO 25 MPH WITH
HIGHER GUSTS THURSDAY. THIS WILL KEEP WIND CHILLS BELOW FREEZING
ALONG WITH HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS ALONG EAST-WEST ORIENTED
HIGHWAYS.

ARKANSAS...NORTHEAST LOUISIANA AND WEST CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT AND THURSDAY

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR THE AREA ALONG AND
NORTHWEST OF A LINE FROM WINNSBORO TO ROLLING FORK TO GREENWOOD FROM

            PRELIMINARY REPORT FROM NWS STORM SURVEY TEAM. A TORNADO
            DAMAGE PATH WAS SURVEYED WITH A STARTING POINT 2 MILES
            NORTH OF TINSLEY IN YAZOO COUNTY AND ENDING JUST SW OF
            BROZVILLE IN HOLMES COUNTY. THE TRACK WAS 29 MILES LONG,
            1/4 MILE WIDE WITH MAXIMUM WINDS ESTIMATED AT 115 MPH
            GIVING IT AN EF2 RATING. THE MAXIMUM DAMAGE WAS IN
            SOUTHERN HOLMES COUNTY AND THERE WAS ALSO SOME DAMAGE
            JUST EAST OF COXBURG IN HOLMES COUNTY.
