WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY...THE MAIN CHALLENGE THIS PERIOD INCLUDES
THE POTENTIAL FOR ACCUMULATING SNOW OVER NW AREAS OF INDIANA AND
FAR SW LOWER MI THURSDAY NIGHT. THE LONGWAVE TROF WILL BECOME
REESTABLISHED OVER THE CENTRAL CONUS AS SUCCESSIVE SHORT WAVE TROFS
MOVE THROUGH THE LONG WAVE AND HELP AMPLIFY THE LONG WAVE. THE GFS
ENSEMBLES WERE CONTINUING TO SHOW A RELATIVELY LARGE SPREAD OF
SOLUTIONS WITH THE SUBSEQUENT SURFACE LOW DEVELOPMENT AND LOW TRACK
OF THIS SYSTEM THURSDAY NIGHT. GIVEN UNCERTAINTIES OF THE LOW TRACK
AND INTENSITY...HAVE BASICALLY LET ONGOING FORECAST RIDE WITH A
CHANCE FOR RAIN THURSDAY...AND A MIX THURSDAY NIGHT INTO FRIDAY.
AFTER THAT...THE LONGWAVE TROF WILL CONTINUE TO AMPLIFY OVER THE
EASTERN CONUS...INDICATING COLDER TEMPERATURES DURING THE REST OF
THE FORECAST PERIOD. THE COMET/UCAR EXPERIMENTAL ANALYSIS WAS
INDICATING VERY HIGH CONFIDENCE FROM FRIDAY THROUGH MONDAY OF THIS
COOLING TREND...SO KEPT TEMPERATURES NEAR NORMAL EARLY NEXT WEEK.
