MAINLY LIGHT RAIN WILL SPREAD UP ACROSS SOUTHEAST IOWA THIS AFTERNOON...AND THEN PROGRESS NORTHEASTWARD ACROSS THE REST OF THE AREA SATURDAY EVENING. COOLER AIR PUSHING INTO THE AREA WILL CAUSE THE RAIN TO MIX WITH SNOW BY MID EVENING...AND THEN SWITCH OVER TO ALL SNOW BY MIDNIGHT IN MOST AREAS. CURRENT INDICATIONS SUGGEST THAT AREAS ALONG AND WEST OF A LINE FROM WILLIAMSBURG...TO MOUNT PLEASANT AND TO CARTHAGE ILLINOIS MAY SEE AN INCH OF SNOWFALL BY DAYBREAK SUNDAY MORNING. AREAS FURTHER TO THE EAST AND NORTHEAST ACROSS THE REST OF THE OUTLOOK AREA WILL RECEIVE A DUSTING TO A HALF INCH.
