THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN THE TWIN CITIES HAS ISSUED A

* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR...
  HENNEPIN COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL MINNESOTA...

* UNTIL 630 PM CDT

* AT 557 PM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF SEVERE           
  THUNDERSTORMS...CAPABLE OF PRODUCING QUARTER SIZE HAIL AND WINDS IN 
  EXCESS OF 65 MPH. THE STORMS WERE LOCATED   ALONG A LINE EXTENDING 
  FROM 3 MILES NORTH OF BROOKLYN PARK TO 4   MILES NORTH OF          
  MINNEAPOLIS TO RICHFIELD...TO BLOOMINGTON...AND MOVING   EAST AT   
  35 MPH.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN PRODUCE TORNADOES WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE 
WARNING. PREPARE TO MOVE TO A PLACE OF SAFETY IN A STURDY STRUCTURE 
SUCH AS A BASEMENT OR SMALL INTERIOR ROOM IF A TORNADO IS SPOTTED.

A TORNADO WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1000 PM CDT THURSDAY EVENING
FOR SOUTHERN MINNESOTA. A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH ALSO REMAINS IN
EFFECT UNTIL 100 AM CDT FRIDAY MORNING FOR EAST CENTRAL MINNESOTA AND
NORTHWESTERN WISCONSIN.
