THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTHEAST GEORGIA...PIEDMONT
NORTH CAROLINA...WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA AND UPSTATE SOUTH CAROLINA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

A STRONG UPPER LOW WILL MOVE ACROSS THE WESTERN CAROLINAS AND
NORTHEAST GEORGIA THIS AFTERNOON. SCATTERED TO NUMEROUS SHOWERS
AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL DEVELOP ALONG AND AHEAD OF THE LOW. SOME OF
THE THUNDERSTORMS WILL LIKELY BECOME SEVERE...PRODUCING HAIL UP TO
THE SIZE OF GOLFBALLS AND DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH.

MUCH LIKE YESTERDAY...THE FIRST STORMS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP
ALONG THE LEE SLOPES AND THEN TRACK SOUTHEAST INTO THE PIEDMONT
AND FOOTHILLS. SEVERE WEATHER IS POSSIBLE JUST ABOUT
ANYWHERE...BUT THE BEST CHANCE WILL BE ACROSS THE
UPSTATE...NORTHEAST GEORGIA AND THE SOUTHERN MOUNTAINS AND
FOOTHILLS OF NORTH CAROLINA...GENERALLY SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 40.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED AGAIN ON WEDNESDAY. WHILE THE
ATMOSPHERE WILL NOT BE AS UNSTABLE AS IT WILL BE TODAY...A FEW
STORMS COULD STILL BECOME SEVERE DURING THE AFTERNOON HOURS.
