AN ISOLATED TORNADO THREAT WILL LIKELY DEVELOP OVER THE NEXT 2 TO 4
HOURS ACROSS SRN FL AND THE FL KEYS. A TORNADO WATCH MAY BECOME
NECESSARY LATER THIS AFTERNOON.

TROPICAL STORM ERNESTO IS CURRENTLY LOCATED ABOUT 125 STATUTE MILES
EAST SOUTHEAST OF THE KEY WEST FL WITH THE CENTER MOVING NORTHWEST
ATTM ...REF HURRICANE CENTER ADVISORY 20. THE CENTER WILL APPROACH
THE SRN FL COAST WHERE MODERATE DESTABILIZATION HAS OCCURRED WITH
MLCAPE VALUES IN THE 1000 TO 1500 J/KG RANGE. IN ADDITION...A 35-40
KT LOW-LEVEL JET IS LOCATED EAST AND NORTHEAST OF THE TROPICAL STORM
CENTER. AS THE LOW-LEVEL JET MOVES TOWARD SRN FL LATE THIS
AFTERNOON...LOW-LEVEL SHEAR PROFILES WILL INCREASE AND MAY BECOME
FAVORABLE FOR AN ISOLATED TORNADO THREAT. THE GREATEST TORNADO
THREAT SHOULD EXIST ACROSS THE ERN FL KEYS AND ACROSS THE ERN COAST
OF SRN FL AS THE STRONGER BANDS CLOSER TO AND NORTHEAST OF THE
CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM ERNESTO MOVE INLAND.
