THERE IS A SLIGHT RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS THROUGH THIS EVENING ACROSS CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST LOUISIANA...GENERALLY EAST OF A LINE FROM MANY LOUISIANA TO EL DORADO ARKANSAS. THE MAIN RISK FROM ANY SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MILES AN HOUR...WITH A SMALLER RISK FOR SEEING HAIL LARGER THAN THREE QUARTERS OF AN INCH. OUTSIDE OF THIS AREA...ISOLATED TO SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE WEST OF THIS AREA...MAINLY ACROSS NORTHWEST LOUISIANA AND NORTHEAST TEXAS...ALONG AND SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 20. AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE...MOVING SOUTHWEST ACROSS MISSISSIPPI HAS RESULTED IN RAPID THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT EAST OF THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER. THESE THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO MOVE SOUTHWEST...AND COULD AFFECT COMMUNITIES ALONG THE HIGHWAY 165 CORRIDOR BEFORE SUNSET. WITH THE VERY WARM...MOIST...AND UNSTABLE AIRMASS IN PLACE...SEVERE STORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE OVER PARTS OF EASTERN LOUISIANA.
